Just remembering back to someone posting from one of those Patrons Supporters On ice meetings that although Dean was Chairman elect, it was still "very much Ken Davy's trainset". I'm sure Dean will have had an input, but I think ultimately it would have been Ken who would have sacked Stan - so really if you're happy about him going, you should thank Ken ;D

It wouldn't have happened without davy's backing, thats for sure. But he will have been persuaded by Hoyle and possibly other directors. And maybe the costs won't be coming out of his pocket. Watsons position has clearly become untenable, which is another huge positive from today.

Hoyle does not (did not) have the power to sack Stan, so the decision was ultimately Ken Davy's. But I bet Hoyle said something to the effect of, as soon as Davy was out of the picture, Stan would be on his way, so why delay the inevitable and risk a season languishing at the bottom?
