Before ST was appointed DH stated that the candidate had to be someone who was prepared to "walk bear foot over broken glass to manage Town". Given his comment about Xmas perhaps he cooked his own goose in terms of the commitment expected.
I note many on here are saying that candidates may not want to come to Town or "drop to League 1". If the criteria is the same that should rule out any who umm and ahh.
Thinking about it, if we don't get any committed takers let Mitch have a go until the end of the season (lets face it with all the change a top 6 finish is a tall order now). He impressed me at the end of last season.

Mitch and Gerry sound a good idea.
If Gerry doesn't want the managers position, perhaps he would be Mitch's right hand man.

We need to set our sights high, and not settle for anything. We can attract people, and people who want to achieve. Sirely when someone looks at a role they will consider potential, and also how much impact they can make. If Deano will pay them and they want the challenge they will come.

If Deano will pay them and they want the challenge they will come. all of that counts for nothing if results dont improve and we go down. if mich and gerry impress again I think the board should def consider offering them the position. perhaps with GM as assistant if he wants to do it, as someone else mentioned. |
