Is going on? Beckett gone, Eastwood and Denton on loan to Woking, and Flynn on loan to Darlo. Unless someone is coming in on loan in the next ten minutes then todays decision to release the above is staggering. My reasons for that comment are as follows Forwards - In the last week or so we have now lost Dickinson,Jones,Beckett & Denton, we have Boothy out injured for god knows how long, Cads - bound to be injured soon, KP - still suspended for 2 games, Jevons - doesnt look to be arsed, Gary Robbo on 4 yellow cards, plus the inexperienced Broadbent, what the hell happens if we pick up a couple of injuries? Goalkeeper - Any injury to Glennon or Smithies leaves us knackered Michael Flynn - What has he done wrong to be loaned out, he should be in our 1st team squad, he could have played in our reserve match next week and then back in the 16 a week on Saturday for the Walsall game, why the hell does Worthington deserve to be in before him. This stinks to me of Gerry flexing his muscles against a Ternent signing and sticking with his academy boys. And lets not forget TC having his loan extended to Sadford, thats 7 players that have left the squad recently and not one replacement. IMO it's stupid that we have not signed any replacements considering the busy Xmas period coming up

This season is just starting to drift away, its crucial we get a new manager in sooner rather than later.

To me it's very short sighted to let Flynn go whether it's an ego thing or not... I agree with letting Eastwood and Denton go though - they're never going to go near the first team within this month. I think even Heagney is prob above Denton in the pecking order at the mo...

I'd have Flynn over Collins and Beckett over Broadbent any day of the week.
Looks like Murphy's judgement is clouded by his involvement with the players, which is a farce if you ask me.

what Murphy fails to appreciate, is that while his academy graduates may rally together and beat/battle teams in one-off games (Leeds/Chelsea), week-in week-out they proved through Jacko and Ritchie that they're not up to the task of achieving promotion. Sending flynn out on loan is the most stupid decision since stupid was invented

that was a business decision not a football one but yea, I get your point. With that in mind, Hitler invading Poland should also be up there....

A reality check was certainly needed after the false euphoria generated over the past 2 weeks but these actions are ridiculous. Flynn is a goalscorer who deserves a midfield place and can also contribute up front, particularly as we seem to be getting rid of our strikers. This is not for the benefit of HTFC; it seems just small-minded and petty. Get a manager in quick Mr Hoyle.

I think Flynn`s interview to Examiner a couple of weks` ago maybe just maybe has something to do with this loan?

Denton and Eastwood make perfect sense and is what lots of fans and posters on here allude to - loans for the younger players to beef them up. Tom can't get in here at the moment and has a 24 hour recall so thats also sensible.
If you read Becketts explanation we didn't really have much choice and it all started in the past so I can't see that its anything to do with Broadbent but lets face it, he may be the future Beckett, was even past being the present.
Flynn, a tricky one as I'd prefer him to some others but we have 3 in place plus Worthy on the fringe, Roberts would be better there IMO as the attacking pivot and Berrett and Holdsworth at also worth a shot there. What's disappointing is that we really needed a decent striker at the start of the season and its a shame that Gerry couldn't get someone in to address that in his brief time in charge. Perhaps that means we're getting Shearer with Sheringham as his assistant and they'll both play? ;D

Flynn is right up there as one of our top scorers.... why is Gerry sending him out? Surely a caretaker manager shouldn't really be in charge of loans/transfers?
Maybe Santa's bringing Deano a nice Christmas present. Plenty of wrapping paper needed for Big Sam. Deano and Santa got a deal going.... Santa buys his wrapping paper and cards from Deano, and in return, Deano gets a new manager.
;D
I knew he was a business man lol
