All this talk about big sam got me thinking about weather any of us think he would be interested in the job? Looking at it I would say maybe it is the perfect job for him, Simlar club to Bolton, Money to spend, lots of potential, Sam is the sort of man who wants to do everything his way top to bottom (his ideas would never work at a big club like Newcastle) He could do that with us in fact its possible just what we need. I think get him and we would be top half of championship within 3years. And Sam would push us further than that. Be warned though everyone who wants to see good football Sams teams dont play like that. Would love it to happen but I really cant see it been anything other than a romour.

Yeah Capt, seem to remember Ruel Fox tearing us apart that day. All these people who say big sam/aidy b play long ball only are so wrong. These managers can get teams to play when the have the funds/players who can do it. In both cases Bolton and Watford both managers wanted the ball from back to front quickly to play to their strengths, in the Prem that is. Thus keeping the oppositions danger men away from the ball. Lower down the leagues both played very good pass and move football, and they knew that in the Prem they would be done by better teams so adopted a different tactic.
Don't expect long ball only from either man should they become our manager. Expect them to play the style of football according to the players they have got and can bring in with the budget they get.

He took Bolton from an average Championship club to surviving in the Premier to qualifying for Europe and doing decent in Europe. Never had lots of money to spend either.
If we get a manager who can do something remotely similar with us I'd be happy.

Eidur Gudjonsson was absolute class that day. He tore us to pieces
