on a free in a month. He would do a job for us till the end of the season. we can surround him with pace in Roberts and Cads......and he knows where the back of the net is..
If we could get him on a pay as you play deal like Blackburn. surely we are a better option for him then Grimsby....as Setanta reported last night.
what you think???

I think we've reached our quota of past it injury prone players who would want a big wage

Grimsby have approached him to become player/coach. He doesn't need the money ("We all live in a Robbie Fowler house") so depends on what he wants to do next. Great player, but not sure I'd want him in any capacity other than that.

Its a long time since Fowler was good enough for a team at any decent level.

Fowler would be good for us. Especially if it was just until the end of the season.
Again, he would be a better finisher than anyone that we have (or in my lifetime for that matter).

Think you're falling into the same trap that many managers have done since he was actually any good about 10 years ago. That hes this brilliant finisher and he'll score loads. When he was a kid at Liverpool perhaps but not for a long long time now.

Hypothetical question - would people rather have Dean Windass or Robbie Fowler?

Windass. Just for the fact he's a lot harder than Fowler.
Saw him on that program 'Wood you believe it' last night, he's actually a good bloke - just scored too many goals for Bradford.
