Going to meet up with Boothy in a couple of hours. (Promotional work, nothing exciting!) If anyone has any questions to ask him, (apart from the obvious new manager one) feel free to post them on here and I will ask him for you. ;D

1. When will he be back playing?
2. What's his plans when he retires? I believe he is not looking at a coaching role etc!

1) Is he mentoring Tom Denton and if not does he think that him being a mentor to him would benefit Denton in the long run by adopting his attitude/style both on and off the pitch.
2) Does he still eat Chicken and Beans pre match or is he sick to death of them by now?
3) Are his knees real?

Has he ever used his superpowers as 'Mr Huddersfield' for anything other than benefiting his people?

Do you still buy 'them there scratch cards?' Ha ha! I'd forgotten about that part of the 1995 Play-Off win post-match interview! Didn't he have it wrong though? Thought he'd won 10k, but actually won a tenner, or something similar?

How much longer does he want to continue playing ? What does he think of Denton and the other young strikers we have at the club?

I'm back from work now and I have to say Sir Andrew of Booth is one of the most genuinely friendly men I have ever met! Forgot to mention that Trevor Cherry would be there too and he is just the same. Here are some answers to some of the questions you all asked me to ask Boothy.
He hopes to be back playing footy by january. He had his first running session this morning and all went well. He dosen't have a clue how long his playing career will carry on for and isn't sure what will follow. He hasn't seen Tom Denton play yet, as he has been off work. But he has heard that he is giving Lucketti the run around in training. Hopefully he will go on and work hard at Town and develop into a first rate player. HUDD MATT RAT, the answer to your question is YES he does still eat chicken and beans before a match. It was Alan Shearer who told him it was what he ate pre match so before the next match he played in his mum cooked it for him and they won. So it's more superstition than nutrition. When I asked him which manager he enjoyed playing for most, he answered without any hesitation at all Neil Warnock. (Boothy must be the only person who hasn't seen the youtube clip!) I did ask both Boothy and Trevor if they knew any info on the new manager and the answer is NO, but if they did they would have told me. The second interviews are being done either this week or next, so things are happening in the boardroom, but Dean Hoyle is keeping schtum. He reckons that Graham Mitchell will have applied for the job because managing is something he wants to do. (I agreed that he would have been daft not to with Gerry Murphy in the back ground mentoring him quietly). Also Boothy says that he is the best coach that he has ever had. Conversation got round to Stan, and it was quite obvious that while Boothy didn't have a problem with him, seeing as he was an experienced player who had heard that sort of behaviour before, the young lads were terrified of him. He also knocked the confidence out of the whole squad. Every day there was unrest and it unsettled the players.
I know that there isn't any ground breaking information, rumours etc here but I know that Boothy knows how important us fans are so it gave me an opportunity to speak on our behalf and he would give his answers honestly and openly.
Hope this is ok

The 10k scratch card jibe was to cover up a back hander Boothy received for winning promotion -FACT NOT FICTION.
