Am I the only one who hasn't totally given up on Malvin yet? It wouldn't particularly bother me if he left, but I just think in there somewhere is a really effective player. All he needs is for someone ( could be Clark) to sit him down and actually teach him how to play the game. Even in his little cameo against Walsall, you could see their defenders were troubled by him running at them.

I'm still waiting for somebody to convince me that we should write off Jevons and Flynn, when only five weeks ago most were writing off Collins. Now, nobody seems to be saying he should be pruned from the squad. Personally, I don't think anybody needs to be shown the door, except maybe one of the left-backs, as that is where we are seriously over-staffed. Even then, I think they should all be given a clean slate. Lucketti or Unsworth may still have something to offer us yet, we just don't know! Football is a game where players lose and gain form. It's obvious that Jevons has been on a massive downer and his confidence is shot, BUT that can change. To call him deadwood is somewhat premature.
I'm with Manc on Flynn: I think he has a bit of everything, he can pass, shoot and talk and wears his heart on his sleeve. If it's true that Clark wants a fast, attractive passing game, Goodwin will be the first casualty of midfield, as he is very much the slow-the-game down type and our speed of movement is always slower with him in possession, as he always takes an extra touch, due to his lack of confidence in playing a quick ball. (I think he does a very good job in the system that the GMs have employed, which is very much about retaining possession).
In brief, don't write anyone off. Different players play well in different formations and under different management. let's see what happens before we decide on who has no future here at Town.
