we are in for treat, as LC was a fantastic professional who should have made more england caps. To those too young to remember him, he was a midfield general who could mix it as well as being able to pass it. He was adored by the geordies and the mackems as he is wiser than his years. We have found a gem.

I always enjoyed watching him.
He really was a very good footballer... very underrated, I always thought.
Not a bad thing that the whole squad will have have watched his career. At least they will know he can walk the walk!

I always liked him as a player as well, played the game the right way, and while that will ultimately count for nothing its a good start. He definitely played with passion, and I'm sure he will manage in the same way. He certainly won't be leaning against the dugout.

A young, fresh and enthusiastic manager.... How different to ST. Great find Deano.

I will also jump onboard and say that I am pleased with this appointment. His inexperience is far outweighed by numerous positives IMO. As is the case with any appointment the proof of the pudding will be in the eating but I think there are various reasons to be happy about LC and his team coming to town
He is surrounded by experience He is young and enthusiastic He will have the players' respect (he was a good player) He has ambitions to be a success and the only way he will acheive them is by making town successful (the perfect scenario for all employers and employees) He has it would seem a blank canvas to work from and full remit to improve the current set-up at all levels.
And importantly he is neither a big name that raises too many expectations with those who demand instant success, nor is he an unknown who would never have had the fans backing. As it stands I think the set up is ideal for this club at this time. I really am struggling to find any negatives in the concept of this team.
I always thought Allardyce and Boothroyd were pie in the sky and relative to what we have now I certainly wouldnt have been overenthused if Adkins or one of the other names mentioned had been appointed.

For the first time this season my normal positive approach to my football as a Town fan has returned.OK it might not happen straight away but it feels that at last it will.I can`t wait to hear Lee Clark`s Barmy Army being sung with great gusto at the stadium. UTT and some good football could well be on the agenda.

As a centre midfield man myself, Lee Clark was always a player that impressed me.
He reminded me a little of Scott Parker in his Charlton days - not afraid of a tackle but could also play a pass.
