Just wondering if anyone travels to town games from Scotland. I'm moving to Stirling in the new year so if anyone wants to car share i'm up for it. Beats driving on your own for a 9 hour round trip!!!!

Live in Lossiemouth and get down to about 6-8 games a year. Should take you around 5 hours one way from Stirling. Luckily my parents still live in Dewsbury so I normal stay over but did do the round trip once, took 16 Hours!

Used to live and work in Stirling and married a local so I have been up and down that road for over 30 years.
Usully a 4 hour drive to Harrogate and when I lived in Mirfield 4 hours 30 mins stopping at Carlisle.
Nice town is Stirling. My daughter is at Glasgow Uni so I'm still up and down on a regular basis.
Best drive M74 M6 M61,M62 or A66 A1. Other roads nice in Summer but always slower.

Keep your eyes peeled or dont stray too far past 70. This is a nice run though although I stay M6, 61, 60, 62 when I go to Glasgow or Edinburgh for work.

Was at Uni up there for a year a couple of years back.
Made it to two games in the season - Bristol City away and Carlisle away. Its certainly a long long drive!
Ended up getting a Hearts season ticket for £120 as the travelling was ridiculous. You can get a train for about £36 return if you book way in advance. Two changes, one at edinburgh and at Wakey and takes about 4 hours but easier than driving I always though.

Deo - as killer says, if you get the train booked up in advance can normally get for £40 or just less. If you have a season ticket, after the train ticket, its just beer tokens! Me and my bro stay in Edinburgh and have got the train down a few times with a carry out. Good fun. Sometimes drive too, but more so for midweek and closer away ganes (i.e. Carlisle, Hartlepool).
..............and mayorofcov, its a kilt not a skirt...............its called culture!

Where you gonna live Deo?
I have rented 5 houses in Stirling and bought one in Causewayhead so know the area well.
Most English live in Bridge of Allan or Dunblane where it is better for foreigners to live.
I made the mistake of playing darts in Bannockburn about 30 odd years ago and asked what the f!!! does 1314 mean.-the name of a big pub there. The pub stopped.
I soon found out- Battle of Bannockburn.
They like us Yorkies but it can be a little daunting at first.
