Normally when a new manager comes into a job to replace a sacked manager, the first thing he has to do is try and change things- the team, the tactics, the attitude. All Lee Clark has to do really is just carry things on as they are , at least into the transfer window where he can hopefully get a striker or two. His biggest problem to start with will be NOT doing anything to change things!
Well done Mitch and gerry. If Clark can carry on their good work we'll be going up this season

Carry on with the away tactics for sure, but our home form is not so good. Even though we've recently scraped a couple of wins, it has not been good. I'm not looking on the negative side of things but this must be obvious to anyone.

I agree 100% Cap'n. This is probably where Ternent went wrong - wholesale, drastic changes. Not saying all his buys were poor, but we finished well under the GMs last season, then we were shite from Day One with Ronnie and Ternent's team and tactics.

We agree at last!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
He has a great opportunity to push things forward now - parker is back from suspension next week, worthy/tom clarke/malvin etc will undoubtedly be trying their damndest to force their way into his plans and for once a new manager comes in with all things pointing upwards.
I still think we need a striker, a winger and a left back personally, but the current form allows the new manager time to have a long look at it!

Home form isn't good but the performances lately have been very positive. Just keeps boiling down to the lack of clinical striker(s).
Ill be surprised if he doesn't make at least one change and bring Parker in for hereford. Not that hes a prolific goalscorer but I just fancy him to score more than cads. Harsh on Cads as hes been playing well but hes a winger and we NEED goals at the galpharm to turn dominance into points.

It's the 'Can we get more versions of Clark than Ternant/Ternent/Tarnent/Turnip/Ternont etc etc..'

Howzabout Clerk? At least it SOUNDS the same! (It's called a homonym - like 'here' and 'hear', another regular typo on here!! )

If he wants to change it though we have to let him, lets not get on his back if he makes changes and we lose the next couple, he's got to be comfortable doing what he wants to do

Clark must walk the walk and be his own man from the off as he has said he will be. If that means changes then so be it. I'm hoping that he reverts to 442 myself. Any changes or otherwise must be of his own making though. I would imagine he will be setting the side out the way he intends his team to play for the rest of the campaign. And in so doing I don't necessarily see that he will consider how we have set up in these past weeks & months. He will quite rightly be looking forward.
