Having looked at a few stats its a great achievement that we have reached 10th spot without the services of a proven goalscorer signed to the club and a bit worrying.Equally it is a positive fact that 16 goals have come from midfield.Only 9 have been scored by our front men with 3 from defenders; Dickinson-6 Booth-2 Parker-1
If our new management team can secure the services of a goalscorer who knows where we might end up!TTID.

Having said that though its pretty good to have some goal scoring midfielders, which is something we've really been lacking recently. The only midfielder we've had in recent times who found the net regularly was Danny Schofield. Now though we've got Craney, Collins, & Roberts (and Flynn before he left)

A striker such as Leon Best or Bradley Wright-Phillips would definitely fit the bill in my eyes - it's just that getting them to drop a division... Andy Carroll at Newcastle on loan would be immense but again I doubt he'd dop to league 1.

Leon Best was absolute class when he played against us for Yeovil a couple of years ago.He was a constant threat and menacing for the whole game.

He may have been a tad lazy, but Dickinson is a goal scorer and I wish ST had tied him up for the season like he had the option to do.
Hopefully with the new management teams contacts, we can bring in a young striker with fire in his belly and a point to prove.... or something along those lines.

I like Dicko, in a team that plays football he will shine. If you punt it long to his head he'll struggle. Que Sera...

It was like we were playing 4-6-0 tonight. We desperately need a striker (or two) who can put them away. Look at the top of the table ... their g/diff is 20/18/whatever+ and we are -3, and until we sort that we'll never climb to the top. Apart from that we were great. Top performance ...

Its not 16 from midfield. Roberts 6, Craney 6, Flynn 5, Collins 4, Worthington 1. I make that 22.

Leon Best gets 15 or so mins most weeks so it would be touch and go whether he'd be willing to drop down. I reckon coventry would let him go for 500-750k and that'd be money well spent. Bishop from Bury could be had for a similar price too
