This club still needs major surgery as far as the playing squad goes, and no doubt Lee Clark will realise this and take action in due course. Let's all be truthfull that even though we have had a good run of results of late, yesterdays result has been on the cards and we all need to be patient as our new management team take stock of what tools they have to work with and assemble a team that one day will deliver what we all want. yes it is easy as a supporter to get carried away and feel we are better than what we really are but lets all be realistic and let the management get on and start the building process, hopefully starting with a big target man in the transfer window.

If it wasnt for penalty saves and the woodwork yesterdays result could have happened in the previous away games - our luck ran out yesterday....and we were denied the space to play that we have had recently also.
No need to pnaic but like the title of the thread says....we are an ordinary team and we need to understand this - but are heading in the right direction for sure - unfortunately we need key additions for that development to get to the next level.

Spot on fella - carlisle are similar to town in their inconsistency. Kavanagh and bridge-wilkinson showed our lads in central midfield up yesterday - similarly graham and bridges upfront and murphy and livesey at the back. For all the GM's great work, it shouldnt hide the basic facts which are that on the last 2/3 years continous performances we have few if any championship standard players in the team. Yes at times we look very good, but the occasions are too few and far between. One thing is for sure though - we must find a new left back and striker quick! Williams performance yesterday was an utter embarassment and he wouldnt don a shirt for me ever again - he looks like a pub player and he couldnt wait to be taken off! Appalling attitude and simply isnt fit enough to do a job!!!!!!!
