Great game today, but what were the linesmen on?
Some of their decisions were godawful.
They made the ref look competent.
Still onwards and upwards!!
;D

the linesman on the antich side in second half gave offside against Cadders (i think?) even though a) he was onside and b) it was a Scunny player who played it to him... !?gv

Gah. The refereeing has been appalling for the last 6 weeks ago. It's definitely a tough job, but there was no excuse for today.

The linesmen and the referee were a set of jokes, today god knows where they got them from..... !!! Very frustrating when you are trying to watch a game and such ludicrous decisions ! Great result though despite the three twa%s in the green.

It's definitely a tough job, but there was no excuse for today. it is a very tough job when you have 15k people having ago at you. all i ask is for consistency, if there is a push on a player and its not a foul how is the next push on a player a foul? all the refs ive seen at home this season have been bad for both team... i suppose they have been consistently bad though... contradiction!

I think they had a bet on to see who could flag the most. Parker needs a bit more savi though, he does a lot of scuttling for little end product.

They were wrong when Jevons was in on goal and wrong with the Cads decision but Parker was offside every time.

How can anyone show "respect" to a bunch of pricks like them?

I thought the linesman got about four wrong today three when they weren't offside and one he let go when it was off.

The same ref today as we had last season who sent cads off for going over to the crowd to celebrate scoring against nottm forest. Linesmen dint have a clue tbh.

Not that i want to defend the linesman but under the offside law today he was right with the Cadders offside in the second half, he was stood offside when Smithies kicked the ball out, but can't be flagged offside until he attempts to join in the action.

in 18 years of watching town ive never seen 3 officials as cheating and bad as that, i could write untill 2010 about the wrong and cheating decisions today, still good to f*ck up the refs plans and win the game

a dead rat could've done a better job than those 3 officials today-all 3 of them were disgraceful, and they should all be wholly ashamed of their performance-all 3 may as well have come out before the game in a scunny kit, because they seemed intent on makin us try to beat 14 men today

you can describe the linesman in one word today!!!! SHITE. Sorry for the swearing at this festive time of year

you can apply that to all 3 officials.................but i'd say they were worse than that........i wouldn't want those 3 officials being in charge for a pub league game, let alone a league 1 game-i hope their assessor rips into them, because they were horrifically bad today, all 3 of them

The linesman made several terrible decisions, 2 of which I was in line with in the first half. Both Jevons and then Parker were level at best. Incompetence I can take, but downright cheating I can't!
In the second half when the linesman flagged Caddermateri offside he was totally wrong. The ball had (clearly) come off an opposition player and in which case YOU CANNOT BE OFFSIDE. It's a very basic rule that the linesman should know.
I very very poor set of officials in all. Also to book Parket for the 'tackle' on Wright was nothing short of a disgrace for 2 reasons: Firstly the ref had his back to him and as neither linesman flagged HE COULD NOT OF SEEN IT. Secondly there was nothing to see. Parker came close but did not touch Wright. Diving cheat!

I quite liked the way the ref let the lads get on and get stuck into each other without blowing the whistle every two minutes. Unfortunatly that was all spoiled by the linesmen. We must of had the biggest shower of officials anywhere in world footy this season.

Parker was offside everytime imo, he is really starting to piss me off, hardly looked interested today 100% in agreement. He has played enough games to learn how to stay on-side.

In anycase their subsequent free kick was taken from deep where the second phase of play occurred and not up near the halfway line where the first phase occurred.

To be fair I don't think ANY of us know how Pav got away with that one

So if I'm last man in possession and under pressure I could simply turn around and play it to an opposing player in an offside position to play him offside and get myself out of the dudu.
That cannot be right surely? I'm not aware of any such rule change.

Not now tho.

Thats fair enough not such a radical change in the rules of the game then.
However I still don't think he was offside in the first place.

I remember when only Men understood the offside law and Women didn't. (!) Now no-one knows what the heck it is. Active / Passive / 2nd Phase codswallop. Just get rid of the rule !

Of course, this argument is blown away by:
'The linesman saw no touch by the Scunthorpe player'
I wasn't sure from where I was, bias in me saw the touch.

The linesman in front of the DG Stand in the first half was total garbage. Didn't seem to understand the rule of being OFFSIDE at all. Shocking.

dont think any of the officials were capable of seeing anything today-they missed some bloody obvious fouls, including 1 on (i think it was williams) which was as obvious a shove in the back as you're ever likely to see-i could see it from miles away, yet the ref, less than 10 yards away, totally ignored it-wasnt surprised really, the lot of them were about as useful as a chocolate fireguard
