Agree 110,000%
Keep that kind of stuff for minor sports like Rugby, it's horrible and does make us look daft.

Only because it's so loud you can't avoid jumping around to it. I hate it, it's so tacky and tinpot.

Surely we should be thinking about getting a better PA system so we can actually hear the crappy goal scoring music.
Or am i being too damn sensible again?

We should all sing "We don't want music" to the tune after each of our 3 goals against Oldham .

whats the problem with music when you score? I am sat in the FM lower and as usual no bugger wants to sing but when a few lads start singing "murphy is a slaphead" (as in joe murphys balding) some numpty starts complaining saying to shut up or they'll get a steward! but i assure when our seond goal went in everyone was jumping up and down shouting the tune to tom hark!
leave it as it is (or get a better tune)

My major gripe with the tune played is that it leads folk on to sing 'we all hate leeds scum". It's not good when that is the first song sung after we go 1 up. Not fussed about playing music at all really.

It's utterly cringeworthy, I seriously can't say how much I hate it, especially since we play that common as muck tune, but I'd still hate it if we played a better tune. I'm sure we had an official vote and voted against it and we had another the other week which showed 75% against. PLEASE CAN WE GET RID! PLEASE SMJ1! I can't believe some people think it's good.

Some may think it makes us look like a tinpot club, but the MAJORITY of the crowd join in[unlike the so called 75%] Makes for a better atmosphere i think, even though some of us do carry on and sing 'We all hate L##ds' Who cares .I DONT.

WE'RE HUDDERSFIELD TOWN, NOT ANTI-LEEDS UNITED FC! WE'VE GOT A PROUD HISTORY, WE'VE GOT 100 YEARS OF TRADITION AND WE'RE ON THE WAY UP; WHY ARE WE PATRONISING OURSELVES BY DOING THIS! DO ANY OTHER BIG CLUBS DO IT? ...JUST THE PLASTIC PREMIERSHIP CLUBS AND A SPATTERING OF PERSISTENTLY LOWER LEAGUE TEAMS.

Off the top of my head I can't remember any away game this season that I've been to (all bar Brighton) where the home team have played music after they've scored.
There's no need for it.

I agree. It has no place at a Football match. It's a tacky Americanism used to create a false atmosphere (hence it's use at Rugby League matches and Lower League clubs). As many on here have said - "I can't hear it" - this is because it's drowned out by 13'000 Town fans cheering at the top of their voices. Are people really trying to suggest that when we score, some fans would remain seated & motionless if a blast of music wasn't played? For me, there is no better sound at a Town match than the roar of the crowd when we score. Why try and drown this out with a pointless blast of music? Do the kids really like it that much? I doubt it! Still, each to their own I suppose...
