Anyone know? Not that it matters a lot now, but I was rather miffed at the time.

I think the ball spun up and hit Roberts on the arm. Totally accidental but this ref would have given anything today.

God knows why........perhaps it was for the ball bouncing to hand as he went round the outside but perhaps its just cos the officials were totally incompetent (again).Dont think they appealed for anything and it looked a certain goal to me---but i was a long way off

Calling the Ref a Wank*r and I agree he was one does not help when you want a decision from him.

hand ball apparently, I didn't see it though and thought it was a very very poor decision along with too many to mention today. I was still jumping around when they were taking the free kick where do they get these officials from? Do they dig them up every weekend and on occasions during the week and bring them to the town ground!!!

He didn't give any of the other hand ball incidents though... they must be the most incompetent bunch of officials ever... half the time he was taking direction from the Scunny players

I didn't think it was hand ball but that is what KO and PO were saying on the radio. They could obviously see better than me even though I was in the Fantastic Media stand! ONE QUESTION though! Why weren't Scunthorpe red carded for the rugby tackle on Cads when Roberts went on to score - or isn't it a foul if advantage is played?

See if we gained a avantage in any way (we did) or he immeadiatley blows up a sends the guy off, seen as though this incident append in the 95th bordering 6th minuted of added time I would in any circumstance expect him to apply a bit of common sense.......

NOT saying he hada good game at all just what I would expect from any referee. When I saw the programme I knew we were in for a ride!!!! I have never seen a referee blow his whistle so much when throwings are been taken!!! Lets face it. he probably had a new whistle for christmas just wanted to test it out.... New toy and all that...........

the ref blew well before roberts put the ball in the net, i just had a laugh watching some town fans around me clapping along to that annoying music. Still we won 2-0 against a top 6 team and we wont see that ref for a while so it's all good up the town!! Goodwin ace.

It did hit his hand. I don't see why it took four months for it to be disallowed though.

I was sat in line with it. The ball did hit his arm after a ricochet off his leg. One of those that in a midfield dogfight would be ignored but as it directed the ball into his path so that he could run on to shoot, the ref took action. I guess it would have been harsh on Scunny if had been allowed, we'd certainly have been moaning if someone scored a goal like that against us!

This is the worst referee in the football league (imo)
We had him last year I think it was against forest and he was dreadful - he's always overly fussy for 20 minutes then disappears and hides from the big decisions and then gets the majority of decisions wrong, and the ones he gets right in slow motion, five years after they happened.
