When is Andy Bishop's name going to get mentioned in these threads? Is it because he signed a new deal until 2010 recently?

On other footy discussion sites there are Bradford fans thinking they may be gonna get him. Bless them.

If the Delph to Man United deal comes off, they could certainly afford him.

If the Delph to Man United deal comes off, they could certainly afford him. £10 million bid according to The Sun on BBC Sport: It won't be accurate as its an absolutely ridiculous fee for an alright midfielder unproven above League 1 level (where some players such as Jim Goodwin can mark him out of the game). He is so overrated.

Andy Bishop is a good player but I'm not certain he'd be the type of player Town need. He reminds me of Liam Dickinson - tall, but not that good in the air. His main strength is on the ground and he seems able to play anywhere up front - out wide or down the middle. Runs splay-footed like Dickinson does as well. Not necessarily the strongest physically either, but still a good player. IMO, Town need a more traditional type centre-forward, but they are few and far between. It's a shame Boothy isn't 10 years younger as he would be ideal now! Bury have this winger, Bennett, who'se on long term loan from Wolves....I was impressed with him.

I'd be happy for Lucketti to play a part. His main problem at this stage of his career is his lack of pace, but then Nathan is not exactly quick. That's why Gerry played a sweeper to cover for him. Nathan has been better this season but that's relative to how he was playing before. Realistically, he is not too quick, he is weak against a powerful centre forward and he's not too great in the air. Long term I think Lee Clark will need to recruit if we are to play at a higher level.
