There has been a lot of speculation of who may come to the club in the coming weeks, ranging from young non-league targets to players with premier league experience (eg Philips).
Should we be expecting a higher "standard" of player now we have the management team in place?
Reason for asking is that on the day that Ternant was sent off to prepare his turkey who thought we would have ended up with..
1) Terry Mac 2) Fazackerley 3) Black 4) Lee Clarke 5) AN other - yet to arrive
I am not saying we now have a god given right to be able to attract players of a higher calibre, but the 4/5 listed above haven't come to Huddersfield for a jolly, they mean business.
So when people laugh off suggestions of who we may be after, could we still be pleasantly surprised??

I think that there will be a surprise along the way in terms of signings. Like you mention Phillips. Good times folks good times.

Are we just a few months late? Andrew Cole - Would Blackie have been able to get in his head and turn him into a goal scoring machine again?

Not having a go or criticizing the people involved (never heard of Black though), but what amuses me is how carried away you all get.

Is this the person who supports a club that told everyone it could sell 250,000 tickets for a play off final and that they were the champions of europe despite not winning the trophy!!! Wait til you manage two wins on the bounce hull and all the "fans" suddenly re-descend on satans lair and we'll see who gets carried away!!!

All our management team have predominantly been focused on the top flight for the last few years so I'd doubt we'd be going for many lower division or non-league players as they will go for players they know. So I'd expect us to get loans from prem teams or championship cast offs.

Well so do many fans when their team win 7 out of 9, get an excellent management team and good performances. Sorry! Ok let's run through them... Lee Clark - good player, so was Gary Mac, no managerial experience. Terry Mac - Good perm and tache in his day. Fazackerley - Great name, played for Blackburn, don't know anything else about him. Black - no, not a clue. I can see where the optimism comes from.

Black - Performance Conditioner, Jonny WIlkinson was helped by black at newcastle falcons I always cringe when someone mentions Blackies link to Jonny Wilkinson. He's permanently crocked.

Just unlucky tbh, Michael Owen-esque in a way someone for the first 5/6 years of there career who never got injured then has to put up with 3/4 years of injury!
