When we bought him I thought he would be similar to what Oldham have got in Gregan and that he would be the first choice in the defence. I don't understand why his lack of pace gets shown up so much when he plays, when the likes of Gregan cant be much quicker than him, and seem to dominate in the defence.

I thought lucketti looked slow, not great in the air and poor at organising the defence... both in pre season (specifically the game vs hamilton) and the early league games. We look far better without him.
Would look to offload lucketti, unsworth, kamara and parker or jevons (or both if we could bring in 2 new strikers)

We would have to pay up his contract to get shut and i think thats 2 years. Can't see any other club wanting to take him especially if the rumers about his wages are true.

Lucketti was awesome and was one of the reasons Southampton stayed up if you ask their fans. Yes he hasn't performed well for us but wouldn't write him off just yet, good as back up.

What is it with Town fans when they knock Phil Jevons?
People seem to think he has a lazy attitude but I don't agree. I think that's more to do with his posture rather than his commitment.
Okay, he's not the hard tackling battler type but I think he has other qualities that shouldn't be over looked. In my view he's a fine player who holds the ball up well and plays others in. AND I think once Lee Clark gets us playing at a higher tempo and passing with more confidence Jevos skills will begin to stand out.

I think they (quite rightly) look at his goal scoring record.
Zero goals this season and we are in January - is he not supposed to be a striker?
Put him alongside Parker (who has got one), Cadders (also zero) and Booth (one and injured) - and you can see our problem.
I would sign 2 strikers and offload Jevons, keeping Parker on the bench as an impact player - at least he has pace and works moderately hard.

Heard lucketti is going to Bury on loan with 24 hr. call back, this from Bury fan at work, Id assume that would involve us paying most of his wage still

They wouldn't be taking him as a favour to us - they'd be expecting him to help with their promotion push. If he were to go we'd have to get another centre back to cover the first choice pair.

Yeh they'd probably pay a percentage with us paying the rest.
The 24hr call back is a good idea though.

Unless they have changed the rules yet again (since September this season) you cannot recall a player in the first monthof a loan (unless the player is a goalkeeper).
