was in the antich today singing like crazy when we were 1-0 down and as soon as we scored the oldham fans went silent, i wonder what their support had been like if they had been losing probobley rubbish.
i thought like against scunthorpe the atmosphere was brilliant from our fans and positive, oldham and their fans were nowt special like i said we were losing for a long time and still gave brilliant vocal backing better than theres
if the game was won on support and noise today it would have gone to the town

If points were awarded for vocal backing, oldham would have had all 3. Superb noise all afternoon. Days like today just make you realise How much we need our own end. At times there was silence. I sit in direct golf lower and it was woeful in there today. The players did their bit but i thought the support was shocking today. Well done the oldham fans. Thats How to get behind a team Away fans always make more noise than home fans - simple fact

Oldham fans were OK today but nothing more. They were very loud at times but 60% of the time they were average quiet !! Good turn out from them though almost 2x what we took to Boundary Park . Although oldham fans did provide me with the most cringeworthy chant ever today with their rendition of " Outside its a massacre " that really was embarrasing

I sit in the Antich stand singing section and the thing that kills the atmosphere is THE GOD DAMN STEWARDS. Ok they doing a job but as soon as a chant is started we get told to sit down and this constantly happens week after week. Leave us alone and let us enjoy ourselves...Remember if we wasnt there you wouldnt have a job. I beg to differ the thing that spoils the atmoshere is that sodding drummer. He is is just too much. and I hate that sodding repetious Sex pistols whats it A £10 from me if someone puts their fingers through that sodding drum skin

Someone ring the police. Its against the ground regulations to bring a drum in. The club should bar him or lose their safety certificate.

"Best away support I can recall at Town. " Are you kidding? How many games have you ever been to? The following teams have brought better support although it pains me to say - Bradford, Wednesday, Blades, Wolves, WBA, Stoke, Portsmouth, Man City, Liverpool, Everton, Sunderland, Crewe, Stockport.... I could go on. How old are you 7,8?

Wednesday, Blades, Wolves, WBA, Stoke, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Everton, Sunderland.
Fine i'll give you that they all have very good and very vocal away support, but Crewe, Bradford, Stockport and City?!!!!
I'm not havin that. Crewe and Bradford are normally terrible at BP and Stockport normally only bring 1k or so and make very little noise (which is surprising cos at home they aren't so bad at times). As for City, they seem to have some big reputation but they came to ours in the cup a few years back and in terms of numbers they're great, but in terms of noise, absolute dog meat. Wednesday are the best i've seen at BP and as much as I hate to admit it, Blackpool are always damn good as well. Wolves were decent but not outstanding a couple of seasons back.\
I didn't think we were that great today although AceT seems a very reasonable poster (seen him on owtb.co.uk) and from a fairly neutral location (as I understand it) He seems to think we were very good, which is nice to hear. I was sat in the left hand side right near the top (as you look at it) and from where I was we sounded loud the whole time, but looking down the stand I could see most of the time it was only 2 blocks who were really going at it. Disappointing that so many will turn out but not back the team whole heartedly. I think we've been much louder at yours in the past to be honest. Our vocal support this year on the road hasn't been as good as in porevious seasons for some reason in my opinion, whereas the home atmosphere has been much better, but that's not hard when it has been non existent for so many seasons prior to this.

Best away following for me at the galpharm is Stoke City when they song delilia it was awesome. Was abit cringeworthy with the lads at the top of the antich singing your support is f**king shite because to be fair to Oldham that was a bloody good following they brought, yeah ive seen louder but to say they only get what 8000 at home maybe a very good effort from them.

That sex pistols song is really starting to grate. Just after our goal was a great time to give it our full repertoire and what do we do? "I am a hudders fan..." zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz change the tune.... and dont get me started on the drummer! And I thought it was just me who found that monotone mummbling version of Anarchy annoying lets get back to singing them good old propper songs And of course ban the drummer ;D

I probably went to all those games you mention, but can't remember the support .

I thought the atmosphere was very good from both sets of supporters yesterday.
Town fans once again singing non stop for 90 minutes, which considering we were losing for a lot of that time is great. It's all well and good doing a 20 minute rendition of The Great Escape when you are winning, but I didn't hear as much from Oldham much after we scored.
I suppose where you sit in the ground determines who you think was the 'loudest'....in the North end of the Kilner where we sing you couldn't hear the Oldham fans much because of the noise we were making. I'd also accept that with the design of the ground it probably sounded louder from the away end in the other stands.

" - Lodgey I don't need to take notes even at my advanced years I can remember. I don't want to belittle Oldham's support which was good, possibly the best this season, but I think some people on this board got a bit carried away yesterday in their effusive praise. I like Oldham as a club because their supporters are the real deal. They could go to the corporate clubs nearby such as Man U but instead support their local club which is the right and praiseworthy thing to do. I hope they do well this season, I only hope we do better!
