Whilst the announcer was trying to mention Ians death before kick off all I could hear was the Drummer banging away with a small number chanting round him.
I would have have stuck the drum where the sun don't shine if I could have got hold of it.
Really annoyed me.
Good game -striker(s) required urgently.

Thanks for that Jim--i agree 100%-----it was generally well observed but this REALLY annoyed me and i genuinely had a tear in my eye just reminiscing about Greavsies team and the scary thing is he was heralded as a young and upcoming manager when he got managers job at Town and him passing away makes me sadder than sad and very mortal/old.He has to go down as the BEST manager in Town's recent history taking us to the top on a shoestring and whilst our footy might not have had the flair of Buxton's team he has to be "THE MAN" for achieving what he did at that level. Town were awesome in 69/70 and this team/feel at the moment reminds me of 68/69 when Greavesies team awas just starting to flourish/develop under a new young manager who had played (like Clark) at the highest level.40 th anniversary of that fantastic season next year so fingers crossed. That team had the lot---tough and really hard to beat with Nicholson and big Frank,Colin dobson,Jimmy Lawson providing real quality. Thanks for the great memories Greavsie and RIP IAN GREAVES---- A TRUE TOWN LEGEND. UP THE TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was absolutely disgusted by that drummer and his lack of respect today. He needs talking to and woe betide if I get to him first.

TBH sat at the back of the Antich you cant even hear the announcer, so I didn't even know what was going on until everybody started clapping.
Should have announced what was going on a little sooner IMO.

I think they had the extra speakers at the front of the stand today, I sit 3 rows from the back of the Antich and heard the announcement loud and clear (for a change)

Not excusing what went on but with the atmosphere and singing and that you could not hear the announcer at the back left (near the drummer!) of the Antich!!!!!

Couldn't really hear where I was either, seemed worse sound than usual...I kind of switch out with that stupid 'announce the subs first' thing, but throughout the game couldn't hear any announcements...in fact the only thing I did hear clearly was the 'goal music' - which I don't want to hear. Grrr.

No excuses---the sound system is crap but come on it was obvious a memorial was going on and even if you couldnt hear who it was for respect dictated observe it and ask later IGNORANT C**TS
