Away fans according to O/S seemed like more to me concidering it holds 4,000 only the two lower corner sections were drapped with pink links banners and the rest of the stand looked pretty full.
Looked more like 3.400(ish) to me

Assuming that the away figure WAS correct it also means that we had our best HOME attendance today - around 14K. More football like we saw today will only increase that support. UTT

I can believe there was less than 3,000. The whole stand holds a shade less than 4000 and two largeish blocks were cordoned off.
Good turn out but if you've been in the top 6 all season you should get that support only halh an hour away from your own ground. Not to mention that if you lived in Oldham wouldn't you welcome the chance of an afternoon in more heightened surroundings.

Sounds right to me there was a load of gaps, good effort though. If only we could could take 50% of our home gates to Boundary Park!

I thought it was about 3300-3400, very few spare seats as far as I could see and I was watching for this after the '3200' incident when we completely filled it a couple of seasons back with no cordened off areas. I think the cordened off areas accounted for about 200-250 seats each and then I would expect maybe 200-300 spares dotted around.
Good game today, thought you probably deserved to win it from your possession and pressure but didn't really create that many clear cut chances thanks to Gregan and Rubes once again being superb. One of the best teams i've seen this season without a doubt and i've been predicting you to be the team that makes a surge into the play off positions for a few weeks now, so i'm not all that surprised. From what i've seen Scunny will be the ones to lose out, apart from their front 2 they looked very very ordinary and just relied on them breaking and making something from nothing. Didn't think we gave a good account of ourselves today, failed to keep possession and failed to get any rhythm going forward. Mostly down to the selection from Shez, which was piss poor to be honest but we also looked second best in terms of commitment.
Anyway, hope you do well for the rest of the season, it'd be 2 brilliant games if we met in the play offs.

We should be taking more when they bring 3,000 here... only half an hour away, we are getting 14,000 home fans, Oldham get between 6 and 7,000..... probably doesnt mean anything but interesting.

But don't Oldham have the best away following in the country, based on percentage of average home crowd that travel away to watch them

Therefore you have confirmed the official attendance. The capacity of the full stand is less than 4000. Don't they teach mathematics in Lancashire?

Nope, all my maths abilities are self taught. From what I understood the stand heald 4000, so from my 'analysis' the highest we could have had was 3400 (200+200+200 spares) and the lowest was 3200 (250+250+300). I maybe should have said 3200-3400 just to get the parametres exactly right for the nit pickers. Thanks for playing though. How many does your stand hold exactly then? It seems common consensus that it's 4000 or very close to 4000. You see Oldham's away stand holds 4596 or something like that but quoting this exact amount would be needless because in the grand scheme of things 4 less spares isn't going to make a difference. It's like throwing a deck chair off the titanic if you want to make a pretty little picture in your mind to help you out. If your stand holds 3996 though, feel free to alter my parameters to the exact seat and get back to me on it, the world needs to know.

I have Robert Mugabe on the phone waiting for the results. Will it be 3200-3400 or a pitiful 3196-3396?

I already accounted for it not being totally full. I think 300 spares would be quite a prudent estimation. There were very few at all in the left half of the stand (as you look at it) and I doubt more than 200 in the right side from what others have said.
