Unless, god forbid, it was weeds who bought them. I know a lot of Leeds fans took up that cheap ticket offer earlier in the season in order to get on the database. I might need to get in the home end yet as I applied late for an away ticket and not sure of getting one.

In that case send or take the stubs back to the ticket office so they can be resold, like I do with the "spare" season ticket I bought, when it is not being used!

You can return the tickets to the club so they can sell them on or if you've got mates that want to go pay to upgrade them.

Apparently we only a have couple of thousand home tickets for sale for this game. Seems that with over 16000 in effect reserved seats, we can only then sell another couple of thousand. now considering tha acutal number of fans who attend comparred to the number of of actual tickets being allocated, there will be quite a few empty seats for this game. I imagine they will claim this game be effectively a "sell out" but i bet theres only a bout 18, 19000 tops.. I suspect lots of people took up the free kids tickets, thus reserving a seat but have never used the ticket. Be a shame if paying town fans who want to see the leeds game cant because of that... but then at least theres less chance of Weeds fans infecting home areas I think if you want to pay on the door for the Leeds game you should have to buy tickets for the 2 previous home games. Like on the token basis they used to employ in the 70`s for away tickets.

Spot on moaner - if fans want to come and watch the leeds game and cant be arsed to pay for another two games then they arent particularly the fans we are looking to attract. There is a real positivity about the club at the moment and i dont think its unreasonable to ask fans to attend other games to guarantee a ticket for the leeds game given its attraction as a big local derby. Not saying that they shouldnt get any tickets that are left if they dont, but if they buy another two then a seat for the leeds game should be gteed.

At Malaga they used to charge something like 250 euros for a season ticket but if you wanted to watch the Barcelona & Real Madrid games the match day price went up to 300 euros.

To be fair though, those fans who've bought a ticket will turn up for this one though I would of thought. Even if you're going to turn up for only one game i'd of though it would of been this one.

I'd bet that if there are still tickets for sale near to the game then they will relent on the rule though-we shall see.

Personally I think its shit that you have to buy at least 2 other tickets if you want a ticket for the Leeds game.
Can understand why they have done it, but I dont agree with it at all.

I've spotted Leeds fans in the FM at the last couple of home games... they could have bought season tickets just for the odd games when Leeds aren't playing or are too far away... I suppose it's good value and they're guarranteed seats for the big game

Agree. Its possibly against the spirit of Football League regulations as well - I'm pretty sure that a certain %'age of the ground has to be set aside for one-off purchase?

I bought two adult season tickets and signed my kids up for two free season tickets. My kids have been to a couple of matches so far. There is no way they will be coming to the L**ds match, so can I definitely "upgrade" the kids tickets for a couple of mates?

I suppose it's good value and they're guarranteed seats for the big game I was next to an Oldham fan yesterday, who had a Season Ticket and was a Town fan for "all but two games a season". So maybe there are more fans of other clubs that took advantage of the offer than we thought? There might be at least a hundred or so...

Wouldnt you rather be seated in an area with fellow town fans rather than a group of one off or even leeds fans who decide they will buy tickets in the home end because our ticketing allows them to do so? We might not like our local neighbours but we do have to admit their support is far greater than all except leicester in this league and with only 3000 away fans allowed they will do what they did last yr and occupy home areas otherwise! At least if they have to buy 3 tickets, the club gets additional revenue and bigger crowds for prior fixtures which is the whole point of doing it!

To be honest, having three Leeds fans sat next to us at the home game last season was the cherry on top of a great result. Especially when the guy behind told them to be happier as we'd just scored/beaten the Leeds scum ;D

Clearly it is their cup final!!! ;D

Will the stand opposite the away end be opened up for this game or will it be empty like last year?

Basically becuase I thought it was a free world, and the club are forcing folk into buying tickets they might not want to attend just so they can see a game they do. At a guess I would say that 99% of people who are interested in attending the game as Town fans will have bought a season ticket, so will have a ticket anyways. If someone wants to attend a match as a one off, they should be allowed to. It should be up the the club/stewards/police to make sure no Leeds fans are in the home areas. Like I say, I 100% understand why the club have done it this way, I just dont agree with it.

"Will the stand opposite the away end be opened up for this game or will it be empty like last year?" - LS10 It was nearly empty because we were playing (a) a lower league team (b) our season was already over, a bit like Leeds' was a few weeks later!
