Thought Goodwin (edit) was brilliant again against Oldham. Showing the form he showed in pre-season. Butler also looked immense. Strong, solid, read the game well. One last-ditch tackle in particular at start of second half on Hughes was tremendous. A good centre forward in the window and we have the makings of a strong spine.

I'm guessing you mean Clark. He was great yesterday.

Sorry. Missed his name out. I meant Goodwin. He dominated midfield. Butler was rock like at the back. But we need a centre forward.

Goodwin has been superb. I cannot understand why the Scunny fans didn't rate him (at this level anyway).

Spot on greavesie - smithies didnt have his best game yday but it is clear the lad has outstanding talent, clarke and butler are becoming a very decent partnership. Similarly goodwin and collins and all we need now is something at the top of the pitch to finish things off and give us the strong spine we need to get out of this league! KoR summed it up perfectly on RL last night - "if we had had their two strikers up front we would have won comfortably".
