I think it was a wrong decision as he is the kind of Striker that can score goals, He scored quite a few in the reserves but wasn't getting any First team action!
What do you lot think?

no it was time for him to move on,
why do town fans always live in the past?
lets see who clark brings in between now and end of feb, i reckon players like beckett will be a forgotten memory

Yes
never thought much of him but if nothing else he scored goals which is exactly what we were/are lacking
think we should have brought denton back as well

think we should have brought denton back as well Denton's not anywhere near ready for div 1 football yet. LC got it spot on leaving him on loan. He is playing in a better league than his last team before joining Town but needs to get quite a few match minutes and professional coaching under his belt before he gets first team action. Personally I think that given the rest of this season and the summer under the watchful eye and guidance of LC and Faza he will be banging on the door for some first team action next season. If he starts before he's ready than his confidence will be damaged. I for one really want TD to succeed and think the next 7 months are going to be a huge learning curve for him.

Should have kept him. His contract was up in May/June so it wouldn't have done any harm. Plus as everybody says He Scores Goals.

Big mistake letting him go, at least he knows where the penalty area is unlike our present strike force (and I use that term very loosely)

He scores goals but not at this level anymore... Can no one remember how slow and laboured he looked in his last 12 months? How many goals did he score that weren't penalties? Not many...

Scored goals in the reserves...so what!! Parker's got a shedload for the reserves, means nothing. Cant wait for us to get a new striker in earning probably less than Beckett and scoring more.

110% the correct decision. He's past it now.

Beckett's pace clearly frightened other teams
