Kindon. Can anyone tell me who was the last Town player to win a full England cap, whilst playing for Town. Was it Mike O'Grady before he went to L**ds in mid 60's?

From my time watching Town, would be:
a)Dean Gorre b)Marcus Stewart c)Phil Starbuck
Best Loan Signing would be:
a) Steve Harper b) Ben Thornley c) Des Hamilton (yes, I'm joking on this one!)

Craig Maskell.
I loved Maskell when I was a kid - used spend 90 minutes on a Saturday watching him more than the game. Even pretended to be him when I was in goal!
Might not be everyone's favourite, but I'd love a 1989-era Maskell now!

Both Maskell and Keiran O'Regan had a decent free-kick on them.
Speaking of players who we could do with now, Iwan Roberts (obviously as was!)

Peter Jackson (who else would you expect me to say ) If not Jacko then I would have to say Marcus Stewart (in my experience of Town watching).

marcus stewart didnt win a full England cap while he was a Town player - I think same applies to Cherry and Worthinton - so I would say it was probably Mike O'Grady a left winger from the sixties when Town were in the proper second division

I've been waiting for you to say that! From the time i'v been watching town i'd say Marcus Stewart. Heard plenty of stories about players of the past from my dad though.

Stewart for me. Always thought with him in the side we'd score a goal, no matter the opposition. Nearly ran him over at Dewsbury hospital....TWICE......but thats another story

Looking at past & present stats i would say George Brown (all time top scorer) has to be up there Stewart F.Worthington

The best player ever for Huddersfield Town was not one but the whole team that brought us up in to the 1st div, From Hutt to Cherry, etc they took on on the likes of Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal and done us proud for 2 seasons. I have watched Town for fifty years to now and this is the first time I feel we have a Chairman that will do his best to reprise those great days.

Frank, by a long way. Saw him in the reserves before he got in the first team.

Billy Smith or Jimmy Glazzard. Billy Smith on statistics alone as its impossible to give a fair view on this! From actual performances I have seen the sheer consistancy of Gary Roberts this year puts him in a very very good position to gain this title in another 12 months if he continues. Oh and dont forget Mickey Collins.

Steve Francis, Paul Dalton, Marcus Stewart, Tom Cowan Jon Dyson, Andy Booth, Kenny Irons think they where all great. best player iv seen since i was old enough to see was possibly John Thorrington, a great footballer.
However, watching old clips of denis law though and listening to the storys hes more than likely the actualy best player of all time

Frankie Worthington best player I've seen in a Town shirt by a mile, sheer brilliance and wouldn't mind having him, Nicholson, Cherry, Wilson, Mick Meagan, Parkin, Terry Poole and Denis Law playing for us now.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Malcolm Brown. Now he was sheer class. Other than that Tommy Cowan or Boothy.
