Collins has cost us the game today no doubt about it. He has been a passenger in far too many games this season. The contrast to him and Goodwin is unbelievable. Roberts was quite right to have a go imo. Time for Flynny or Craney to be given a chance.

Scored the equaliser against Oldham though - we all make mistakes hopefully he will learn from it.

He was very lucky to still be on the pitch against Oldham. He was annonymous for 89mins. Too much of a passenger we can't afford to carry every week!

Goodwin was lucky not to be sent off today though so lets not pin the blame cos Collins has made a mistake.
Its a team game and the team has collectively conceded a late equaliser. We could talk about the strikers not scoring another to finish the game off but theres no point as it is in the past now and we just need to come back stronger from this.

Roberts was quite right to have a go imo. Time for Flynny or Craney to be given a chance. Goodness me. First chance to have a go and you're straight on the lads back. Give him a break. Don't get me wrong - sounds like he was at fault for the goal (accrding to the radio), and he has to improve at the dirty/ugly side of the game i.e. getting involed earlier in the game, doing the grind off the ball. But he's supporting well, confident, great fitness, combines well and is balanced alongside goodwin. With 5 goals in 11, including a number of winners - collins has been one of the main reasons for our 6 wins in the last 10 games. I suppose jevons scored today, can't blame him this week!

cant just blame collins, by the sound of it we shud have been 2 or 3 up but we dont have a proven striker.... collins has scored some vital goals this season. We are getting there but hopefully we will get a new striker sooner than later....

Agree Team takes the blame not just Collins.
This has been happening all season long - conceding late goals after spurning numerous opportunities to increase our lead.
No new strikers = no promotion. It's that simple.

Baffles me how some players get stick after one mistake albeit one that has contributed to losing two points. How many points have collins late goals got us recently? The collins bashers should be looking more towards our goal shy powder puff so called striker Keigan Parker. Yet again looking disinterested and ineffective despite all his big talk in the examiner. Absoloute crap IMO.

I 'd have blamed Roberts if anyone for a poor pass to Collins when maybe he should have taken the ball into the corner instead. Last kick of the game gets them an equaliser - what a bummer!

Great post Fred. Could not agree more !
Rearrange the following words to form a well known football saying................
Keigan Parker is CARP
We have probably got the best midfield in the league with Cads and Robbo putting in countless crosses every game. Even a mediocre striker could score goals in this team !!!!

I'm not one for bashing players and not giving them a chance but FFS what does Parker offer us up front. We'd be better off trying Craney up front until we get a striker in at least he looks like he has a goal in him.

To me, it was Roberts fault, end of. Collins had a decent game, as did Roberts, but one silly moment spoiled a good day!
