Just wanted to say how good I thought these 2 were yesterday. Absolutely dominated against two tricky strikers. I was very impressed with the pairing On a more sour note I really don't understand why some people bother turning up to watch us. I was sat on the far right of the stand as you watch the game. I had this "bandwagon jumper" sat a few rows behind who seemed intent of letting everyone know he didn't like Williams and pointed out anything he did even marginally wrong while unsurprisingly turning a blind eye on all the good thing he did. What made this worse was he seemed intent on having the same attitude to Jevons (who admittedly looked soft yesterday). When Jevons was lining up the free kick, he thought he was being clever by saying "if Jevons takes this, the goalkeeper may as well just stroll across his line and pick the ball up" Luckily Jevons had him eating is words but my question is, why pay £19 for a ticket, £x for petrol, £x for food/programme etc when all you intend to do is sit there slagging off our players. Next time keep your thoughts to yourself or don't bother turning up Neither williams or Jevons are up to the job fact! I think Williams is settling down now and playing quite well. Just think what he could be like if people didn't slag him off at his first touch. So your 'fact' IS in fact wrong.

Agreed, thought Williams has improved massively over last few games, looked totally lost in the 3-5-2 system but the new management team have obviously had an effect on him for me

I know it has prob been mentioned but fans dont take into account who williams has playing in front of him. Roberts is class going forwardbut offers little in terms of defending hence Williams often being exposed. Cant see why he gets slated constantly, he looks a decent player IMO

Have Huddersfield Town (a 3rd division club who have underachieved spectacularly for the vast majority of the last 38+ years I've supported them) REALLY got supporters who you'd accurately describe as "bandwagon jumpers"? I think anybody who travels to Northampton in the freezing cold to watch his side play third division football could reasonably expect to be regarded as a reasonable "supporter" of the club.

I'm not suggesting they're jumping on the Huddersfield Town are going to be succesful since Clark took over bandwagon
I'm talking about the everyone knows that Williams has had a bad start to life at Huddersfield and I'm gonna let everyone know about it regardless of how well he plays bandwagon

I think it is fair to say that Town have their fair share of w****r supporters, and once they have decided a player is rubbish (or great for that matter) they won't change their minds whatever happens. When I say 'their', what I really mean is that one or two people decide and then the rest of the sheep follow.
IMO Williams has been much improved over the last few games or so but because he was gash for a season then some people are blind to this.
I also feel a bit sorry for Jevons with the amount of abuse he gets, especially compared to Parker who has done sod all all season yet people seem to rate him!
Good to see that the 'proper fan' tag has come out again. Just because you go to Northampton that makes you a proper fan? Shut the **** up.

Exactly Terryya, you don't seem to be able to make a point like this without one of either 2 arguments going against you.
1) He pays his money he should be able to say what he wants 2) So you think you're a better fan than him do you.

Disputing the "he pays his money so he can say what he wants" argument is a strange one to me. Which part of this argument do you not accept? You are disputing the whole democracy concept though with that one! People will disagree with you / say things you dont like / piss you off / say stupid things (in your opinion) etc But c'est la vie unfortunately! FWIW i dont think Williams and Jevons (and Parker for that matter) are good enough to be regulars in a promotion winning team, but ill keep that one to myself i reckon

No Floyds, its bringing that argument up in the first place which annoys me when that is clearly not my point.
Once again my point questions why would you pay all that money to come and just moan. (NOT that he shouldn't be allowed to moan)
AND
Why does Williams deserve constant criticism before he has even touched the ball purely based on the fact he played badly last season and maybe at the start of this.

Well i dunno why he (whoever he is!) wants to do that!
The only person who can answer that is the guy you are talking about himself - maybe you (or someone else?) should have asked him that very question?
Williams was terrible at Carlisle, he had an absolute shocker. That was only a couple of weeks ago.....i just dont think he is good enough. But he isnt the only one of the squad by any means. And i wouldnt moan at him before a ball was kicked - but when you have a nightmare like he did on boxing day he has to accept criticism unfortunately.
That is the nature of the professional game isnt it?
As for Jevons (and Parker) - one goal all season - is not good enough for an out and out striker. Simple as that.

Floyds, I agree if someone is playing badly then maybe you can have a bit of a go. Whether I agree that you should is another matter as ultimately its hardly going to help them

this is the new era that we have all been waiting for and Clark is giving everyone a clear slate, we should too. Look at Goodwin, boo'ed by many only a few weeks ago, now the centrestone of our midfield and probably one of the first on the team sheet. Its time for us all to forget who we do and dont like, let the management team try to get the best out of them and support em, im sure the ones who arent up to it will be shipped out hear hear
