I believe it could be any of the above unless someone knows already and if so I missed it.

It must have been at the Heavy Woolen meeting cause I was at the Patrons on Tuesday and it wasn't mentioned unless I was at the toilet or at the bar or trying to keep my feet on the ground because of the way things are going.

it wont be international duty purely because we'd know already if he'd been called up (always announced on the OS on the day of the call up),and as far as im aware theres no international games (for england) at any level until february at least-also it wont be a big money transfer (why would that be positive news?) as 1 things for certain, clark wouldnt come out at a supporters meeting and say "oh by the way we're in discussions with club x regarding a big money transfer for smithies' everyone knows its a new contract (assuming he signs it)

He is impressing me more with each game he features in. He's incredibly fast on his feet, in the second half on Saturday he managed to scramble across from the near post to push a shot wide of the far post, Glennon would have got nowhere near it.

What helps a goalkeeper is having a good defence aswell, I wasn't at the Northampton game but going by what was said on the radio and what fans have said Butler played really well

Works both ways...

or is it a mix of having gerry there before clark came in and helping to build the confidence of them, and clark (combined with no doubt better coaching as well as blackie being there) improving on those aspects that were an issue when turkey turnip was there

Its a contract extension, that way the transfer fee will be increased.

I can't see us getting a big offer for a player who has only played around 6 or 7 games. Most likely a contract extension.
