He got fouled On a serious note - I found it quite bemusing listening on the radio as to why our stronger centre back Butler wasn't picking up Akinfenwa and it seemed to be tasked to Clarke. Odd I thought...

Comments please on the super stars contribution to the cobblers equaliser please? First mistake in how long? You've sat there waiting for this to happen, must have been a long and painful wait?

I thought it was a foul on him on the day. If it wasn't then I think we can allow him one mistake. Especially as a combination of Roberts and Collins not keeping the ball, and Williams none attempt at a block were all equally responsible.

How has Williams also managed to get a portion of the blame?
Maybe we should blame it on Ternant as well
Clarke and Butle were awesome on Saturday

I used to be on the disliking Nathan Clarke bandwagon but I think he's had some big games recently, looking stronger and stronger... He does look half decent thoguh playing alongside someone better, ie Butler. Just as he wasn't so bad with Page.

wouldnt say butler is better, just that they are getting used to each other and compliment each others style.

Comments please on the super stars contribution to the cobblers equaliser please? Shock and horror, third division footballer makes mistake. I dont post much,I like reading the comments and opinions on here, but the one above strangely got to me.Some people seem to revel in our players mistakes. Are these the ones that also boo players and expect more than 100% effort.

What an absolute pointless post, you must be one of those idiots who cant wait for something to go wrong, god you must be bored at the moment. I am far from Nathan Clarkes biggest fan but I think he has been superb this last few months, for gods sake get behind the team.

Ridiculous post. No need. Nathan's been one of our most consistant performers of late. Roll on Saturday.

Butler is ok, and has upped his game since the new manager came here but Clarke is better than Butler in just about every aspect of being a centre back. Maybe he was fouled, maybe he could have defended better, but to try and point score against those who rate a clearly talented, on form player ,ain't half pathetic.
Williams has a share of the blame because rather than block the shot with his right foot, he for reasons best known to himself ,tried to block it with his left, which meant he turned away from the shot and never got anywhere near stopping it.

Hit a nerve then! He has improved but his mistakes can proof costly and not wanting to count them all up there have been a few. I didn't slate him i was just asking what his admirers thought. On the other hand i thought Jevos gaol was quality so i've probably upset another few people!

Clarke has been one of the better performers for the last two seasons now. He seems to be forming a good understanding and partnership with Butler. Clarke is one of the few players at the club who could genuinely go and play at a higher level. He looked to be fouled to me on Saturday but maybe he could have been a bit stronger. At that stage of the game though we should be seeing the result out in their half of the pitch. We lacked maturity and proffesionalism in the last ten minutes on Saturdayand that is why we conceded. Clarke had another game on Saturday as he did against oldham the week before and many games before that.
If you understood the game of football you wouldn't talk such crap.

Any defender making a mistake can prove costly, cos of where they are on the pitch. Im trying to think of another mistake ( if that one was) hes made thats cost us a goal this season. Nothing obvious is springing to mind. Hed be my POTS so far.
I don't rate Jevons at all but Im glad for him he finally got a goal. Id love to see him push on and bang in a hatfull but I just can't see it. Other than the goal, most who were there on here said he was very poor again. He'll have to do a lot more than take one good free kick to change my opinion of him.

Perhaps a change in username, and people would take your comments more seriously!!! PS Clarke is actually ahead of Jevons in the scoring stakes this season!! Discuss!!

butler is far better than nathan clarke. Different players fella - butler attacks the ball better than clarke but isnt as comfortable on it. Rather than criticise one or the other though, i would just like to comment how good they work together as a pair - clarkey worked well with page but at the moment this pairing is the best we have had for some years - long may it continue!

How has Williams also managed to get a portion of the blame? Maybe we should blame it on Ternant as well Clarke and Butle were awesome on Saturday Terry the Terrier will be next in the firing line for the blame. NC/AB have been excellent over the last few games. Difficult game because of an icy pitch that was freezing as the game went on. The pitch was a huge leveller IMO and played a major contribution to the quality of play. Sh*t happens, leave the boys alone!! NC and AB are doing well together!

butler is far better than nathan clarke. No he isn't. Clarke is FAR more comfortable on the ball and a better and more accurate passer ( by some way). Butler gives me kittens when he has it at his feet and tends to just lash it aimlessly anywhere if hes under even the smallest amount of pressure. Clarke is better of the two in the air and a better tackler. Neither are exactly quick but I suspect Butlers the slowest of the two. Butlers done well these last 3 or 4 games which is great and the two of them are forming a really solid looking partnership that could be our centre back pairing for years, but Clarke is definately the main man of the two IMO
