Will score tomorrow!!
I have predicted for weeks that the floodgates will open once his match sharpness is there and he gets that all important first goal.
£5 is going on Jevo to hit the onion bag tomorrow.

Me and a mate were talking last night about the fact we are due to give someone a ruthless hiding - by a margin of at least 3 goals......maybe tomorrow?.......

Which Smithies will save?
Can't see Town getting a penalty somehow we only get 8 penalties every decade, and i think we've already had them

I know Parker is struggling abit at the mo but hopefully he will score cos scoring goals breeds confidence for strikers so if he keeps getting the full support from the fans which he does, he will score,we have a fantastic backroom staff and they will support and encourage him as much as possible. Jevons will be keen to score again.

Not sure tomorrows gonna be as easy as some people are hoping.
I'm going for a 2-1 win, after Swindon score within the first 3 minutes.

Im the complete opposite. If jevons leaves then I couldn't care less. At least parker does something, even if its not happening for him on the day. Hes not always on song but hes had several games that have impressed me this season and a few that were excellent. Jevons hasn't had any that Ive seen in fact the vast majority of his appearences hes looked utterly dire. Just minces around, bottling out of challenges and looking as invisible as he can.

Parker is in my opinion the poorest player in the team at present by a long way. Doesn't offer us anything other than running around like a headless chicken and a hothead. His first half performance against Oldham was awful (his first touch was so bad that I don't think I'd be unreasonable in suggesting he looked drunk, and there's good reason to believe that) and his ball to Collins was really poor, thank goodness Collins' first touch was so good to take it into his stride offering him the chance to shoot and score.
Jevons is soft but he does have quality and intelligence. I'd put a pretty safe bet on the fact he'll have scored more goals than Parker come May.

Good to see him getting a fair crack of the whip there Lou.

I thought when we signed Parker that he could potentially be a good signing if he got himself together and he was used in the right way. I wouldn't say I'm being harsh on him, the fact is that he 's had his chance and in my opinion has contributed very little. Fair enough Jevons didn't score until last week but he's the only player in our team that is capable of of the intelligence (other than Roberts) that set up the brilliant second goal for Roberts against Hereford.
On the subject of Parker, I'm fed up of him throwing himself to the ground so easily, against Carlisle it was almost embarrassing how easily he went down under the slightest bit of physical pressure.

I have predicted for weeks that the floodgates will open once his match sharpness is there and he gets that all important first goal. £5 is going on Jevo to hit the onion bag tomorrow. You did predict it weeks ago and I'm with you. As for the parker v jevons debate, Parker - fast, lively...etc but ultimately he has scored 1 goal in his last 42 appearances in the last 2 seasons. Alongside a big man he could still be effective, but infuriating and lacks a football brain! Some of his runs ,ake kamara look like giggs. 'Potential' to be isn't enough though - he needs to be showing it NOW. Jevons - Clever, links play well. Looked awfully low on conifdence under turnip (who wouldn't). Some won't like his style (nor did some like abbott, stead etc) but looking stronger, and sharper under clark in his general play...after being given a run! Goal will boost him undoubtedly - and his 10 goals in 28 starts isn't bad and will improve.

I'm quite worried we haven't got a striker in for tomorrow, not because i don't think Clark will get them in, but because i can see it being the same as the last few games and us creating numerous chances and not having an end product!

Didnt get to Northampton, but what was Jevons movement like off the ball? He looked lost against Oldham and seemed reluctant to attack 'dangerous' areas

the game tommorrow is not cut and dried.swindon have a good manager.they haven't won in 10 games(5 draws).this is the sort of game that draws a big crowd in anticipation of a win and town generally seem to fluff games like this.hopefully not but we DEFINATELY need a striker and soon if we are to make the play offs. the three strikers that we have bids in for are all good.lets hope we get one.however if we do't then we should look at calling denton back and sitting him on the bench cos parker and jevons are not producing. in my opinion jevons will score for fun playing alongside the right striker .if we don't get one then we have to look at what we already have and that means booth or denton with jevons. forget parker as he wont score in a month of sundays.he can't even score in a night club--jade goody--you're having a laugh.

aye -jevons score for fun / one goal in 8 months?
yeah, loads of scoring for fun going on.
parker int much better like. 1 goal since i dunno when - may 2007?
cadders, dunno when he last scored?
useless.
one thing we do need - 2 strikers who can at least score their fair share.
hopefully tomorrow we will scrape a 1-0 and have someone in by the time we play leicester..
