Best display from a Town player in many a year. That's the champagne football that Stan so nearly brought us

he was brilliant today, had their right back twisted in knots He'll be dizzy tonight - he turned 360 dgerees at least twice in the first half alone! At times, he took one touch too many when he had 1 or 2 chances to shoot, but some of his runs were nothing short trremendous today. Put a number of good balls in today which an out and out predator would have buried, linked well with jevons and set up a humber of chances including a few begging to be hit by parker. Exciting to watch and whilst I'd wish he'd shoot more, he's on target for 12-15 goals for the season which is a great return.

Their right back didn't get anywhere near him today.
Cads and Roberts have altered our entire gameplay for the better as now we finally can stretch teams and use the full width of the pitch.

I wish he'd pull the trigger a bit more often (as well as the others).
He's not a bad left winger after all is he!!!

I think he has got to be the best attacking player we have seen in a long time. He can and will beat a man, he can deliver a killer pass or cross and he can score them too! We would normally take a player that can do one of these not all. Real class, his play wont always come off but I love the way that he will always run the ball down in any situation. I think it shows the positive attitude he has. I just think that in some games due to his eagerness he knackers himself out and then leaves 15 flat at the end. That can be my only suggestion about the most exciting player I have seen in yonks

He'd probably put in more crosses if he didn't have mini-Parker and static-Jevons to aim at.
As it is, he usually tries to come inside and work something on the edge of the box. He's a very intelligent player.

Did we get him for £250k? Whatever it was, I think we got a bargain. I'm sure he could play in the Premiership now, and if he was doing, clubs would be offering a few million for him Great times.

He's making a mockery of that transfer fee at the moment. Ipswich fans said he was gash too! Awesome today, that right back finished the game with his vital organs on the outside of his body ;D

just a minor criticism... or rather a suggestion as to how he may be more potent.
When he gets the ball out wide, he doesn't spend too long thinking about it, gets his head down and runs at the full back. Excellent. But IMHO, sometimes when he gets the ball in more central positions, he seems to dwell on it a bit longer, where perhaps running direct at goal would seem him break through one on one more often. A couple of times today there was clear daylight between the lumbering centre backs and it went un-punished.
That said, its only a minor criticism, and I'd defo give him 9.99/10 for todays performance. That right back will be having nightmares about that game for years.

Stan did well with that signing.... he was awesome today, scared the shit out of Swindon. Thats what he can do at his best, no point saying he is too good for this division... we are going up in next 18 months.

I reckon it is a good job he hasn't got a right foot or he wouldn't be playing for us.

What about trying roberts on the right wing? quite often he cuts in from left wing, gets in a great position on edge of box, but due to lack of a right foot he's reluctant to shoot. Play him on right, cuts inside, shoots with that holy left foot...GOAAALL!

I reckon it is a good job he hasn't got a right foot or he wouldn't be playing for us. Regardless he should be able to hit it when given the chance! The amount of times he cut inside and had the opportunity to hit it was unbelievable. Our football was great today but we try to score the perfect goal too often and there were a number of times when we could have hit it and scored but we didn't!
