The performances of roberts and cadamerteri have been excellent over the last few weeks.
Imo, no coincidene that... when we have two fast, direct threats from players who can come inside but will stay out wide and offer shape....we look far more dangerous.
Its easy to try double up on cadamarteri, or double up on roberts, but any team would struggle to double up on both.
I'm sure most would agree that a striker (or two) should be our priority.
A left back would be nice etc...
But imo, we should be looking for another winger - lose roberts or cadamarteri and you have to play craney/flynn/collins out of position. Its a problem created by stan - and they can all do a job out there, but ist not ideal.
Lose one of them and we will be restricted in the way we are playing. At some point, cadders will be injured and we will miss him big time unless we bring another wide option in.
I'm not in the 'kamara shouldn't be a footballer' etc camp at all - he was 3rd in a poll for player of the 1st half of the season last year correctly, but he isn;t in the same league as roberts/cadamarteri.

Very much agree specialun - by pushing the opposition back it has also led to improved displays from holdsworth and williams in particular. Also, collins and goodwin now have willing outlets - roberts has skill to beat a man and cads is strong in the air and willing to be positive and strong in possession. The frustrating thing now is we have the width but nothing to finish it off - ironic when we have had beckett, abbott, boothy etc in recent seasons but no natural width!!!

I agree, its the first time we've had a couple of quality wingers since when Schofield and Brandon we're in their prime and we finished 4th. Luckily then we had Pav/GTF/Boothy to stick the ball in the back of the net.

Well we still have Booth (I think).
Where was he today?

I think Parker and Jevons will start scoring once Booth (or the new target man we hopefully sign). They both play better with a big man with Jevons prefering the deeper role and Parker feeding of the big man. They as a partnership don't work.
