According to BBC he has rejected a move to us, but not to worry LC will still get us the right one to take us up Onwards and upwards for the mighty Terriers

It's always about money. If he decides to come i think he'll be a great signing, if he doesn't it's his loss.

Gonna be very difficult to get a decent striker to come to the third tier of english football. We could get a lad from bury no probs but anyone worth their salt doesnt really wanna drop that low especially with the prospect of another season of league one rubbish ahead. Be different if we were top 2. Gonna be a very difficult job for clark to persuade anyone in top 2 divisions

People are very, very naive.
He would be a very good signing.

Dont be so naive people.
We are trying to get Porter to drop form scots Prem, with other Championship sides also bidding, so money is going to be an issue.
Would anyone out there change jobs and work for less than they are on now?

Moaner's right. Rangers and Celtic are Championship standard, the rest of the SPL teams are no better than Div 1 in England. Did anyone watch Hibs -v- Hearts on Sky last Sunday? Absolute rubbish. Motherwell's average crowd is only about 5k as well. Town would NOT be a step down for Porter in the present circumstances.

IMO Scottish football is not on the same level as the English 'un. For sure.

If Lukas Akins can play in the SPL, well that says it all about the SPL!
Only Rangers/Celtic could play in the premiership and even then i would say they would be like a fulham! Hearts/Hibs are championsip and the rest league 1!

Was discussing that very point in the Gas Club before the match with a few lads. Scottish Football can't compare to the English League's at all. Poor standard.

Teams in England do have the extra advantage of huge TV deals to assist them. I reckon that if Celtic or Rangers got the same TV cash as the teams in the Greed League then they'd do OK down south.

Porter started, and scored, for motherwell today in their 4 0 win at dundee united this afternoon Hmmm i see a pattern emerging.. Bid for Graham -- Grahams scores regularly Bid for Porter - Porter starts scoring again Oi Lee Clark bid for Jevons and Parker, it might get them going
