was great to see town fans in the stand jumping up and down and being loud. Wish where I sat had an atmosphere like that! Think as time goes on and wins keep coming the rest of the stadium will follow. hope so anyway

Went in for the first two and didn't enjoy it one bit. However my best bud and his brother were in yesterday along with my dad, my uncle and his little 'uns. Me and my mate had a right do. Great to see the stewards being more relaxed. The place was really rocking at times.

if we ever get it full time it must NOT be reserved seating!!!!!! you need to be able to mingle. a young lad asked me nicely if i could budge up so his mates could sit next to him and i have no problem with that.they all sang together and its happy days!! ;D

Wonder if it will become a new home section after yesterday's turnout? Maybe let the away fans have half the Antich? the half toward the FM Stand? The ground will be rocking if the happens next season!!!! ;D

The ground will be rocking if the happens next season!!!! ;D give them the DG lower towards the fm stand. but realistically we couldn't make it a permenant home end, teams like leeds and oldham that'll sell out the away end, teams like carlisle and pboro where it'd be too much of a risk

Why dont the Cowshed Loyals give it a go all together in the FM lower one week?
The "its uncovered" excuse is a bit weak.
Or if you must be covered go in the FM upper.
Sure the South Stand is the better option but there is a stand behind the goal available for you at every match.

Couldn't away fans go in the direct golf lower towards the South stand? They could have half that stand which would then be broken up in the middle by the 'Comfy seats'. Anyone got any idea how many half the Direct Golf lower holds?
They'd still have there own entrances and would still be close to the coaches.

North Stand lower stand is not all that bad a view, closer to the action than the South Stand too. It's the people that make the atmosphere - not the stand.

the FM stand is basically designated as the family stand though,so you'd have all the families etc saying they dont want to move or to get involved in all the singing etc

Don't think that there's any chance of the away end being in the DG stand. That's were all the dugouts are, and the executive suites and hospitality boxes are, and I don't think that people who pay excessive amounts of money to enjoy football games in style would be too happy about away fans being so close to them. Had a season ticket for 5 years in one back in the mid 90's and when we played Man City one Tuesday night some City fans were in the box next to us, and basically were chanting and standing on the chairs etc. and it kicked off between our box and theirs. Definite no go there, I reckon

Throwing missiles? People can throw missiles from wherever they are sat, you could easily chuck something from southstand into the DG or Antich. Only like us been below Leeds/Birmingham fans at their grounds.

Get em in Direct Golf upper then. Out of the way! That's where the Matchball Sponsors and Man Of The Match Sponsors sit. In the middle part. Again, they might have something to say about it

Never been a fan of having home and away fans being in a lower and upper tier of the same stand. Can easily get messy.

Very true. Name a club/ground which has away fans sitting in the stand were the dugouts and exec boxes are, going back to my second post?

Again, they might have something to say about it Dont forget there are plenty of season ticket holders in there myself included and I'm quite comfy up there thanks. Similarly there are plenty of season ticket holders in the DG lower who will not want to shift. I really don't think there is anywhere but the South Stand to accomodate away fans especially if we have aspirations to play in the Championship.

Hopefully Mr Hoyle will have seen the evidence that a Home fan base behind the goal really does work and create an intimidating atmosphere, truly making the Galpharm a fortress. A little shuffling, putting a barrier across the half of the Antich towards the FM stand for away fans to accommodate, and people who have tickets there already can take their pick from those on the other side. Let's face it, almost all of the Singing Section relocate to the South Stand at every opportunity, freeing up the seats in the Antich.

We are very fortunate to reside in such a magnificent stadium. Yes it is a magnificent stadium (Although it could do with a clean and lick of paint now!) The facilities and design are great, but the practicalities not so great. The FM stand looks great, but why we had to have a silly design to accomodate concerts, when in reality there has been about 3 is stupid. Imagine if it was the same height but a single sloping tier

The FM stand is rubbish to sit in. You're too far away from the pitch in the upper tier, and the lower tier is uncovered. I've said it before and I'll say it again, make it the away end. I'd have more time for those season ticket holders who like it in there if they got off their ar**s and made some noise. Yesterday was the most I've enjoyed a home game since I started going in 1978. The future for this club is having the South stand as our end. At any other club it would already be, but we are so slow at making the right decisions it makes my blood boil.

Let's face it, almost all of the Singing Section relocate to the South Stand at every opportunity, freeing up the seats in the Antich. I'd say closing half the antich would be the last thing as that's where most fans sit/most season ticket holders are etc. You couldn't move anywhere without annoying some people - but the FM seems the most logical area for away fans (imo) and annoys the least number of season ticket holders. Part of the direct golf could easily become the family area eg - one half of the lower tier.

cant have the FM stand for away fans, how would they get in there without clashing with our fans? all in all we're stuck with putting them in the south stand. i just think we should make it ours for all the games vs teams with low away followings. might as well announce hartlepool and cheltenham now

Why would they clash with Town fans? We leave the ground in both directions anyway. Plenty of other grounds where fans all mill together.
