Smacks of Dave Cowling syndrome again... Apparently used to get barracked a lot by home fans for being soft because he wasn't visibly running through brick walls yet when you look back on the highlights he always had a hand in our 80's success under Buxton with important goals and assists. never mind brick walls he wouldnt run through long grass, didnt fancy it if a defender was within 10 yards of him. But what a left foot Dave Cowling was probably the most important member of that team and is a hero to me.

Interesting that KleverBoy told us this weeks ago. Thanks, Lodgey... been fighting off the urge to say 'I told you so!' Personally, I really don't want it to be true. I think he's a very good player who is just coming back into form and will get better and better under this regime. Thought he had a terrific match on Saturday

Thats all i know, again you will be disappointed with one of the strikers. (probably) This just HAS to be Dickinson, then... seeing as we're split 50/50!

its all ball people don't worry your self
i remember rightly lee clark said he told his players about enquiries or offers. well michael doesn't know anything about it at the moment, so im presuming there has been no offer.
i also asked him the question ' if they came calling would you leave' and he gave a posotive response back
'Only if they wanted to sell me, im happy at town' there you go, don't believe all this, there have been thousand of made up stories on this board in the last few weeks. e.g. Sturridge, Ameobi, Andy Carrol

I don't really know why everybody rates him so much.? collins has the potential to be a very very good player, and the management team we now have at town now are the ones who can turn him into a very very good player and i hope for one he stays. my only problem with him is he is very lightweight at themoment but im sure hes in the gym working on this. its an exciting time at town and we shouldnt be gettign rid of players of collins potential

I'd be willing to sacrafice Collins if it meant we could bring in a £500K striker who could fire us out of this league.

The team has been playing excellent over recent weeks and we all know that with a decent striker we would murder some teams with goals coming from all over our team.
Michael Collins has been part of the team creating and scoring some of those chances, why take him out of the equation when what we all know is we need to 'add' a striker or two?

I think its plausible that an offer has been made for Collins who is after all on fire at the minute. Otherwise who do you suppose Clark was referring to when he said we have had offers for our players? For him to even mention it I'd guess they are offers for first teamers. And it would explain why we have the confidence to make the considerable bids we have made ourselves.

I'd be willing to sacrafice Collins if it meant we could bring in a £500K striker who could fire us out of this league. I'd agree with that and its a price we may have to pay. Stan has ensured we have central midfielders than the rest of league 1 combined. However, as I've said ebfore a collins-goodwin combination with 2 attacking wingers offers the most balanced midfield we could have. Flynn / craney could slot in but that is adding extra burden on goodiwn given their lower fitness levels, stamina etc. But that cost at the benefit of extra fire power upfront. The fact stan didn't rate collins shows how highly rated he will be amongst any normal football manager - in fact it probably doubled his transfer value! Easy to say right player at the right time for goals - and they do matter BUT only if the result is right - and the result when collins has been in the team have been excellent....and a number of winners, last minute goals etc. Who else could have got from one end to the other at leeds? He is a big game player eg) chelsea away, chelsea awaya gain, leeds away etc. Lits of improvement to make - graft and ugly side of the game off the ball but he's a big reason we are where we are this season. A lot of people won't like that, but the results speak for themselves.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it seems like Michael Collins may be on his way to Wolves. I know that most posts on here are complete and utter garbage and to be fair I've written some to get a bit of banter going but in terms of transfer speculation this is my first. The deputy editor at my work (I work for a golf magazine so the reporters are well in with the media), goes out with Rachel Phillips from Calendar and who's brother is Jonny Phillips from SkySports News and Jonny has told him that Collins WILL be joining Wolves. Apparently there has been several conversations between both clubs and we are wanting more than they've offered (I have no idea what this is), but with him out of contract soon we are in an awkward situation. I'm hoping nothing comes of this as he's a quality player and a driving force in our team but what Mark, the lad at work, usually says is often true. Sorry guys i know ive been quiet since last week i didnt want to post until i'd asked my source, it appears that the info passed on wasnt very clear. We have an agreement for 2 strikers who will actually sign this thursday maybe its availiabilty of the several parties coming together at the same time. also have it on good authority that sheff utd are in for collins as well as wolves JW and CL are leaving the club (both on free's) bradford and scunthorpe Dom W will after the next reserve game get an 18 month contract, slight trouble with knee after last week so just making sure he doesnt break down. Looking for a young centre back to partner butler, jack hobbs is in the frame ( i expect he will turn us down) Jevons will go out on loan and we will keep parker for the bench initially. Also looking at sending skarz as well. Thats all i know, again you will be disappointed with one of the strikers. (probably) i have copied and pasted from bbc 606 what do you all make out of these comments It looks like evrything you said was rubbish

Think 3 assists. We've controlled pretty much every game recently (and that comes from CM)...any more? What more do you people want?
