Been reading into Rumours and 'Could be' Transfer targets. But as of yet, i have not read anything on Adam Boyd. My mate (who supports Orient, well someone has too ) Seems adament that Adam Boyd WILL sign for Huddersfield before the end of January. He mentioned it just before the Transfer window started in December, but I can't understand why there has been no news on this? And why would he say such a thing if it wasn't true? It's quite unusual because I genuinly believe we 'could' sign him. I think mayby Clarky is keeping it from us I'd love him here, oh, and he has just scored too! Against Southend. Very good Finish!!! Discusssssssssss

Good shout - always rated him, nearest player (in style) to Marcus Stewart that i have seen in recent years. He lacks pace but is class with the ball at his feet. Would need to be alongside a pacy, more physical striker for it to be an effective partnership IMO
I think we'd get him for 300k

We are signing that many strikers (rumoured to be) that we will end up with the same probs up front as we had in midfield when ternent signed.
Seriously I'm not botherd who we sign as long as Clark and co believe they can develop them and they will do a job for us (Score goals).

At least he wouldn't have the opportunity to score against us AGAIN! Get him signed LC! But seriously, I'm not entirely sure he is what we need at the moment. At the moment, we need a striker with a physical presence and the ability to score regularly. The latter Boyd certainly has, but he reminds me of Jevons to be honest. Both are similar players. However, if he we did sign him, I wouldn't be disappointed in the slightest, but I'd much rather have Graham if I'm honest.

not the quickest but always seems to score against us, and scores some crackers,
but by the calibre of players we have been looking at i feel he of a lower calibre compared to these.

I agree to an extent - as i say - he wouldnt cost as much as the other options i reckon so he could be one of 2 strikers we sign - he would need a pacy guy alongside him but he is WAY better than Jevons in my opinion.

Very similar to Jevons imo, slightly better but not really what we need.

Very similar to Jevons imo, slightly better but not really what we need. NO Way like Jevons Boyd has a great first touch (bit like Marcus Stewart) and has that knack of getting into great scoring positions.

"Boyd did have talks with Huddersfield Town at the beginning of the January transfer window 2009 however failed to agree personal terms."
Means nothing as it's on wikipedia though.

I remember when Boyd came on against us and scored an absolute screamer within minutes. Class player who's had bad injuries curtail his progress. Not 100% sure he's the solution - Id rather have Dickinson first.

When Jevons came here he had a good scoring record, now we all think any other striker around is better than him. Don't think Boyd would be much of an improvment imo

Don't think Boyd would be much of an improvment imo I agree with that - I think Jevons will come good (his link up play is generally decent and fits in well with the high tempo system) if he had a decent strike partner upfront to take some of the burden off him (i.e. not Parker!). Boyd and Jevons wouldn't work. Dickinson and Jevons IMO would work better. Jevons and Porter would have been fricking awesome together

Yea Porter would have been a great signing. Starting to worry me a bit how all these players and clubs are turning us down and that we are just gonna end up getting someone we dont really want or need.
Im not Jevons biggest fan to be honest so 2 new strikers would be good but if i had to choose between parker or jevons i would choose jevons, just.

Clark is not going to bring in someone he doesn’t want or need. Yea thats what i thought but he seems to be bidding for every striker out there. i know he prob has only bid for 3 and the rumours are rubbish but if he bid for Graham first then he must have been his first choice and he said he wasn't gonna settle for second best yet he could possibly be on to his 6th choice transfer target now. I would rather us battle it out until the end of the season and see what happens and then when we hav more time look at bringing in the best possible players rather than rush it now and possibly waste money.
