He has 4 goals in 62 games for Barnsley. Hardly solving our problem is it!

i think Dicko would be improved under our new management team.
And he was good enough for me under Stan anyway. He wasn't perfect, but he was a handful, and got the goals....and he's only young.

I think people are getting carried away about us needing a target man, the first criteria of any striker we sign has to be that he is a natural goal scorer. If we can get a target man who scores regularly then great. But we need a 20 goal a season man first and foremost.

Odejayi will not be on Clark's shopping list, hopeless striker who might score a few in the bottom division only!

We need a goalscorer not a big lump that played well once against Chealsea.
Thanks but no thanks IMHO

If we're just gonna look at big players, we might as well buy a big useless centre back and put him up front and probably get the same number of goals.
I agree that most teams are a lot bigger than us all across the pitch and that a tallish striker would be useful but that shouldn't be their only attribute.
But to be honest, Swindon were a much bigger side than us and we easily brushed them aside by playing it on the deck.
We just need a goal poacher and thats why I think Liam Dickinson would do just fine for us. He'd score our highest amount of goals since Abbott easily.

He may be many things but he's certainly no poacher. Should we ever have him in our team or play against us again just watch his positioning. 9 times out of 10 he's not even in the penalty area when we are attacking.

His goal against Millwall (was it Millwall?) where he just stretched out a leg and scrappily put it in the net was a goal poachers goal. Whatever he is or isn't, he scores goals and did so in our team when we were playing terribly.
