Anybody got an idea of a place to park at leicester??? It seems that all the roads around the stadium are all permitted. Dont really wanna get my Car Clamped!
It looks like the Rugby Club is the best place, anybody know what its like?

As you go down the main road towards Leicester centre ,the stadium will be on your right ( not sure if you can see it though) and you pass under a railway bridge. Apparently you should be able to park on the streets round there and its a 10 minute walk to the ground. Thats what Ive been told anyway so Ill be giving that a go. other than that then rugby club is an option but no idea where that is. Hopefully it'll be signposted. probably a good idea to get there in good time

cheers slaps, the rugby club is north east of the walker stadium, think you will have to pay the usual. if you go straight on at the small round about at the stadium then take the next left that road takes you to the rugby club on your right, as per google maps.
anybody else know a good place?

Leave M1 at J21 - in half a mile at roundabout take 2nd exit following A5460 signposted city centre. This is Narborough Road. Stay on this road, pass under railway bridge and then turn right at the next junction (traffic lights) onto Upperton Road. At next roundabout take 4th exit onto Walnut street. At the end of this street (T junction), the Rugby club is facing you. To park you will have to turn left here onto the inner ring road then keep right at the next lights. The entrance is then on your right. Good luck with the parking (but not the game!)

I lived in Leicester for some years and although I am not too sure about the number of car places and street parking now,I would use this route.
Narborough Road but turn RIGHT at first traffic lights(PremierInn) to Aylestone(about 1mile) to LIGHTS. Turn LEFT - - then immediately( about 20 yards) TURN RIGHT at lights SP Wigston? and after about half a mile at roundabout turn LEFT to Saffron Lane. After the shops, park as far as you can along Saffron Lane towards the ground(about 10 minutes?).
The advantage of this is that after the match you will be pointing in the best way(to Aylestone/M1) by turning LEFT at the end of Saffron Lane to Aylestone(then right at the lights towards Narborough Road)
All this assumes that you arrive early!
The Leicester site does not show the road properly twixt Narborough Road and Aylestone.
A map will reveal all!
Reminds me of going to watch City against Man Utd with a friend in the sixties. When we got to the terraces we could not see a thing- -- went out and paid again in another part to watch the match.----I wrote to the Secretary and complaind and he sent me refunds.

ALMOND ROAD is closest to the Walkers, just south of rugby ground, north east of football ground less than 1/2 a mile away www.multimap.com/maps/#map=52.62181,-1.13356|16|4&bd=useful_information&loc=GB:52.62181:-1.13356:17|almond%20road,%20leicester|Almond%20Road%20(A594),%20Leicester,%20Leicestershire,%20England,%20LE2%207 not sure if link will work.

aiming for counting house as well, about 1. I have been informed by an ex work collegue that car park by rugby ground is pay and display but good for the match. daft sod has arranged to go fishing of the north wales coast instead of watching his foxes get spanked. i told him is was a good idea
