So who is this third signing we were promised?
Folk on here seem to think its Dickinson on loan for the rest of the season, is this just a guess or are people actually in the know?
It all seems to have gone a bit quiet on the Phillips/Graham/Cox/Mifsud front though.

I'd hope its cox, graham or gallagher but its unlikely given the money we spent today. A loan is the most likely now so i reckon Dickinson or Craddock on season long loan

He has not been mentioned a lot, but he isnt playing much at Sheffield, he has potential ozing from all pores. just a thought anyway.

Sheff utd have signed ward and have been linked with moves for various strikers including darius vassell - my mate whos a blade rackons if they got 2 strikers in - which is possible - then the likelyhood id billy sharp would be loaned out to get form...donny are keen on him apparently. He would be excellent for us no doubt.

talking to my mate at work whos friends with an agent(Dickinson's agent) , and was seeing if he knew anything he said i will find out, text me to night and said before we signed werling, town were trying to get ian harte, that apparently we aren't after Dickinson and that we have around a million to spend on a striker! same lad also friends with smithies, and said that smithies had talks with manchester united last week!

We are/were after Dickinson though, Antich Geese said so, so it is more than likely true.

here is my theory, and i stress its just that.
I believe Hoyle has made roughly £1,000,000 available for this window for Clarke. Ainsworth i reckon cost around £250.000. Pilkington around £500.000.
This has left us with £250,000 to 350,000 for a striker, and i bet Derby considering they already have six strikers would accept that. Only trouble is convincing him cos ive heard Leeds are sniffing, Dicko will prob make decision by monday i reckon hence the delay.
Not claiming this to be fact, just a plausible theory. UTT

And selling collins/other players would free up about 600k? leaving nearly a million for a striker

the way Clark is talking today does suggest that some will be leaving, although i doubt it will be players that he does not want to see go. More likely it will be the likes of Worthy, Lucketti and possibly Unsworth if anyone is daft enough to take him.
In relation to Collins, i doubt many clubs will put in a bid that size considering he is out of contract soon, as is Smithies (although we will be entitled to compo). Gut instinct tells me both will sign contract extensions anyway, well common sense should tell you in fact because this is the ideal club for them at this stage of their careers they would be mad to leave.

id guess it would be this season, cos prior to Deano we only used to hand out two year contracts at the most and i cant seem to remember Collins getting an extension since Deano's arrival on the scene. I might be wrong though
