...was in the Stockport fans yesterday. I'm not going to have a go at him for it as I can understand why he'd be there, but I'd have thought that it'd be more productive for him to be watching us given that he might be called into the squad for Tues. Also, Scunthorpe play Oldham and Tranmere play Stockport on Tues. So if we win we should make up some points that we dropped yesterday .

In his interview Pilkington said he would go to Leicester if his medical was done in time. I can only assume he didn't get finished in time to get to Leicester so made the short trip to Oldham. Fair enough really/

A Stockport fan told me. I'm not condemning him, I just thought he might have found it useful to watch us given he may be involved on Tues; or maybe that's a sign that he won't be involved until he's up to speed?

Fair enough really/ seems a fair and logical explanation, especially as his younger brother was on the bench for stockport

Supporting his bro...seems a decent thing to do seen as he wasn't involved at all. Bet Ainsy was at Leicester though. Can't wait to see him let loose on the wing and opposition defences.

Seems like a loyal lad, hopefully he can be as loyal for town, he looks a great talent, wonder if he'll play on tuesday now that Gary Roberts is out

Stockport fan here, yes apparently he was at our game. I get the impression his family are very close and all try and support the two lads wherever they are playing. I am sure he will take every opportunity he gets to go and support his brother, but I'm positive it will not effect his commitment to your team. You have got yourselves an excellent player there and if you don't start moving up the leagues I could see him moving on again to bigger and better things. He is that good. This article from before we signed his brother Danny highlights the sort of relationship they have. www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/1533563.its_a_family_affair/Danny apparantley is better than Anthony was at that age. Just for your interest if you look at the FCUM.tv archive and scroll down about two thirds to the video titled "FCUM v Atherton Collieries (29th Nov 2006)" you can see the performance that drew County's attention to A.Pilks. www.fcum.tv/archive/

Jim Gannon is turning into the new Dario Gradi. Respect to him for unearthing some decent young non-league players and nurturing them into the kind of players that command big fee's and can play at a higher level. It is a shame when town were down on their arse we did'nt get a manager like him who can scout out the non-leagues successfully on a budget of next to nothing at a fan owned club. I almost find it embaressing that we have turned into a predator type club at this level. I am not complaining obviously but cant help feeling sorry for Stockport because it was'nt that long ago we were a skint selling club like them.

Lee Clark stated in his post match interview that he hadn't heard the result of Pilkington's medical so presumably it wasn't finished in time for him to make it to Leicester.
