Saw an ad with Bobby Charlton tonight, advertising Actimel or something like that.
Interesting that for all the red & white and the "traditional" football surroundings, no doubt making you think it was Man U, it was probably filmed in Swindon.
Whats the betting that Man U wouldn't allow it to be filmed or associated with Old Trafford... Maybe they have clauses in existing advertising deals, but just laughable to see this ex hero having to put on such a false face.
They've all got a price, at least his brother isn't as mercenary, unless I've missed an advert for fishing hooks...

i actually quite like Man Utd. The football they have played over the last 10-15 years has been sublime.

Give me Town anyday. Used to work with a man utd ST holder in the late 80s early 90s. He was a manc so had no problem respecting him as a genuine football fan but I remember one year Man utd got to the league cup final and his attitude to this was amazing. It was a total drag for him that hed have to go to all the hassle and expense of yet another match at wembley. If that what supporting Man utd does to you then Im so happy I support HTFC. Town going up this season would mean SO much more to me than winning the title and champions league again would mean to a man utd fan Some good points but to be fair the league cup to Man U comes fourth in priority (after league, europe, FA cup) must cost their fans an unthinkable amount of money. The league cup to them is a bit like the Johnson's Paint Trophy to us. I admit I would be a bit embarrassed to celebrate winning that. Even if it is the only cup we have a chance of getting ;D

I dont hate them as a team, I think they have been good for English football on the field, their off field dealings however are different matter, how they handle transfers and other clubs is appaling, the way way badgered Spurs into selling berbetov was against everything the FA sets outs to stop and they basically cakked all over the rule book and then they run to the FA when someone does the same to them, the thing I can liken them to is the bully in the playground, think they are it until someone tries there tricks against them.
And don't get me started on Fergie there is no denying the man is a talented football manager whether he were managing Man U or Halifax Town he would be a cut above the rest, but when things dont go his way he is like a child, just look at how he treats the BBC becuase of a mis-quote
