He is currently training with Blackburn to get his fitness up to standard but Big Sam says he wont be signing him but that Jansen would be good in the football league.
Assuming we can't get either Dickinson or Graham i think he could do a job here on a 6 month deal especially remembering what he used to do to teams! Carlisle took a punt on Birdges and hes done a good job for them, could Jansen do a job for us?

Jansen would be another Unsworth in the sense that just because he has previously played at a higher level does not mean he will be brilliant in League 1 after something daft like 5 games in 8 years.
I think if we can beat off Championship sides to signings like Pilkington and Ainsworth then we should aim higher than the man who is training with Carlisle out of sentiment rather than ability.
Used to be really good though.

The best attribute of Jansen is that of convincing CUFC that they don't need Graham. Full stop.

Matt Jansen would be a great coup! No he wouldn't. The guy was a very good player 7 years ago until he had his accident. Since then, unfortunately, he's never been anything like the same player.

Somebody suggested that Jansen could be a factor. I hate the fact that rumours circulate from somebody suggesting something without actually saying it is fact and people believe that it will happen. Such as Kasper Schmeichel all of a sudden being mentioned in more than one post.
