Can we see the return of an old time favourite chant?
HUDDERSFIELD, HUDDERSFIELD, ......
Progressively getting faster, the same as Sunthorpe's "IRON" chant, only ours is much better. Next time we get a corner can we bring it back? It's an awesome chant.\
Thoughts...

Definitely know where you're coming from, would be a good idea imo - Although I thought the long, almost buddhistical oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh (for about 1.5 mins) chant towards the end of the first half I think it was, was also aiming to achieve the same aims, i.e frighten everybody, and almost worked as we were close to the goal that would have made it 2-1 just before half time?

the "oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" can often go into the "Huddersfield" one.
Both are great. I kept trying to get the first one going at the Swindon game in the Pink Link. Limited success.

Here Here... It sort of got superseeded by the new Huddersfield chant they sing when the players come out, which is over sung! Watched New Beginning the other day and they were singing it down at Wrexham right before we scored it's a nice simply chant everyone can shout too.
Anyone who's ever been to The Den will tell you how intimidating their Roar chant is. Can't hear yourself think. When we went down this season we had a player who has scored more Premiership penalties then anyone else miss and I swear it was down to the noise they made.

Limited success. for old gits like me. I remember THAT FA Cup game against West Ham when we won 4-2. The long HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDEEEERRRRSSSSSFIELD chant went all around the ground. Being 9 at the time it was awe inspiring. On saturday, I was hoping that the long held oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh was going to develop into it, but hey maybe next time.

Days like yesterday will help bring back some of the old classics! Mixing the young uns with the older lads. quality. I was particularly amused when a rendititon of, 'who put the ball in the barstewards net' broke out. Half said Cowling and the other half said Holdsworth!
My favourite from the counting house yesterday was
We are the pride of Yorkshire The cock of the north We hate all the scousers and cockneys of course We'll drink all your whiskey and your newcastle brown coz the huddersfield boys are in town.
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah!
We should name a pub before each away game, helps the atmosphere and keeps the wide variety of songs to a maximum!

Mayorofcov - will you be up for the Hartlepool game - if so are you going into the South Stand to lead the chants?? I know you've tried it a couple of times in the Riverside Lower Tier, but it just doesn't have the same impact in there. I think a bit of Friendly banter between the Riverside Lower and the Antich may generate some more noise, then coming together in unison, for various songs (when we can't get into the South Stand) It baffles me why the WHOLE stadium can't come together a few times during the game? Anyone who has been to St Andrews will appreciate the noise their fans make when the whole stadium sing the Brum song. I think it was the same up in Newcastle (I was on the Kenmargra that day from the Junction at Moldgreen - what a day that was.......) UTT

A lot of people who we're down at Leicester will sit in the quiter parts of the ground - I know I do. I'll be doing my best to join in with some singing on Saturday though. Just a shame some of the people around me won't be quite as enthusiastic.

would be better for a player that actually gets in the team though. although if it inspires booth or craney to take on the supersub/cup tie goalscorer role its all good

Back in the days when we were in the old 1st division, we sang that against Arsenal, started off in the Cowshed, progressed onto the terrace and continued even in the stand, went on for 5 mins or more continueously, even got a mention on match of the day that night, (by the way we won 2.1 that day) still makes my hair stand on end remembering it, sounds much better the longer it goes on and it should definately finish in singing Huddersfield
