We need to get rid of the front 2. They aren't good enough to come off the bench. The strikers on the bench should be giving the front 2 big competition for the starting slot. You want penetration and threat coming on, something different. This is whilst the front 2 who start are banging them in. So for that reason these two have to move on.
Craney/Flynn seem too similar for me, or that's the impression I got. Can't have them both on the bench pushing for that 1 spot. Especially with two wingers coming in who will be pushing Cads/Roberts for their spot, as well as being versatile and being able to push on up front. So decisions need to be made. I say keep Craney, for me he is a better player.
Get rid of Kamara, Lucketti, Unsworth, and a LB. With Werling in LC obviously saw a problem so need to get rid of either Skarz/Williams. 4 first team players for one position in a mid-table League 1 team is a far too big a drain for the wages. And the first three don't need explaining, they have absolutely no future at this club, for one reason or another.
Is Tom Clarke good enough cover for the CB position? This defence is already leaking goals again. I say get another competent CB in, again being of the ability to be in the starting 11.
Everyone says competition for places is good, but for me it's quality over quantity. Ship out the deadwood and get actual competition. Players good enough to be in the starting 11 every day of the week, but unable due to the rules of the game.
Sort out the keeper situation, if Smithies wants out ask him to close the door on the way out. Get what we can for him then get in a competent number 1. We won't go up automatic with Glennon in net. I also suspect Glennon's attitude and determination to get back in. He went far too long without any competition. So again review the situation.
2 competent goalscorers in. Real machines. They won't come cheap but cheaper than the cost of dwindling in this league again.
