The guy sat behind me was moaning 10 minutes into the game, that Lee Clark didn't have a clue what he was doing, because he was playing Goodwin and Williams.
There really are some idiots who watch our club

Why do people turn up if they don't like half of our players?

Why do people turn up if they don't like half of our players? Only half? To be fair, when we went throigh a bad spell, as clark says, the fans increased the noise whereas under turnip or ritchie, things went quiet. At the minute the fans are 100% united behind clark - long may it continue, through good or bad. You'll always get someone unhappy and moaning!

There really are some idiots who watch our club To be fair you do get it everywhere seems some people like to just moan for the sake of it. Few week ago before they even lost to us or Leeds I saw that the Peterborough fans were getting on Darren Fergusons back seems 1 lose in 26 and promotion isn't good enough for some people, I think thats why managers are only lasting on average less than 18 months at clubs in the Football League it seems people just want instant success everywhere. I hope now no matter what happens the majority of our fans stay on Clarks side and we get a bit of Stability to the club because without it I think we will stay in this division and finally we have a manager who is as passionate about Huddersfield Town as us fans are.

I think our idiots are ridiculously stubborn and single minded idiots though. Once they think they dislike a player, thats it for that lad unless they injure a L**ds player.

Couple of blokes behind me spent the whole time moaning at Jevons, and then when we were under pressure in the 2nd half called Clark a t*sser for not making any subs. He soon went quiet when he made the changes and left with about 10mins to go.

It makes me absolutely sick to hear these so called fans moaning. Always have their glass half full some of em. Things are getting better for sure, but it's a bridge too far this season. Methinks a good season next year with a £200 season ticket should do the trick!

There are, sadly, many inbred moaners who go to town matches, thankfully you don't get them at away games, but why, oh why, they bother to go at all, I don't know.........

I know it's not as bad as moaning but every home game without fail there are a couple just infront of me and my dad, they must be zombies cos they never applaud the players onto the pitch, shout or cheer when we score hearl abuse at the ref or show any encouragement to the club at all, if your not going to get involved and be positive to bother going

If people pay their money then aren't they entitled to do what they want? (I'd draw the line at singling out a player and abusing him, but others would draw the line at different things)
Not every aspect of the performance was perfect on Saturday; I was satisfied coming away from the ground, but certain aspects could've been improved (which Clark has said himself). A lot of criticism on here is dismissed as knee-jerk, but surely it's knee-jerk to feel that everything's perfect as long as we've won.

(I'd draw the line at singling out a player and abusing him, but others would draw the line at different things) To an extent, but some people don't realise what an effect a negative atmosphere has on the team. Clark deserves some credit for our improved home form recently, but I think the fact that fans are feeling a lot more optimistic with him in charge is also helping, the better atmosphere leads to better performances. I'm not talking just about volume of singing, but the general feel of the place. A lot of players can really feel it when a crowd is negative and it effects there performance.

If they were standing up hurling abuse at the players then I can understand; it's not as though the players can hear individual comments from the supporters unless there are a group of them singling out one player.

Because 1000 people moaning and groaning at the same time is very audiable. If it's just one or two are doing it, then its not a problem, but when everyone in the ground is feeling really negative about things, and moaning about things, you can really feel the negative atmosphere. If everybody tried to stay positive during the game, it would make life much easier for the players.

There are also audible groans if an intelligent pass doesn't quite come off etc. they aren't groans of complaint against the players, they're just groans of frustration that the pass didn't quite come off. I think the players know when they've made a mistake and so can cope with groans; I can understand booing etc. knocking players' confidence, but I don't think this is the same.
