How about this song....
Unashamedly nicked from Liverpool (afterall they nicked Shankly off us)
All round the fields of Old Leeds Road Where once we used to watch King Denis (Law) play - and he could play! We had Kryswicki on the wing (or maybe"Big Iffy" instead of Kryswicki) We had dreams and songs to sing Of the glory round the fields of Old Leeds Road

Fields of Anfield Road has always been one of my favourite songs in football, so if we could have our own version it would be fantastic. To make it fit in, it would have to be: All round the fields of Old Leeds Road, Where once we watched King Denis play, and could he play! We had Iffy on the wing, We had dreams and songs to sing, Of the glory round the fields of Old Leeds Road.

Can't see what is basically an Irish Freedom fighters song (Fields of Athenry) catching on the in the 'Pink Link' somehow. Too many Rangers sympathisers amongst our crowd me thinks. You're more likely to hear strains of 'No ' from our singing boys. I mean, you could try it but I don't think so somehow! AceT ;D

Alright then, this would work...
All round the fields of Old Leeds Road, Where once we watched King Denis play, and could he play! We had Kindon on the wing, We had dreams and songs to sing, Of the glory round the fields of Old Leeds Road.
I don't care about any religious bollocks people might link it with, it's a brilliant song and would sound awesome ringing around the Galph.

We need a home pub where everyone congregates and drinks (optional but recommended) and sings beforehand. These new songs would get picked up a lot more easily. If only the Rope Walk was 'Boothy's Bar' or something similar. All the pubs are too small and/or the singers are all split up pre match!
If I won the lottery I would buy the Rope Walk and paint the bugger blue and white.
