Bad news - I injured myself last weekend and had to pull out of refereeing this weekend - missing a decent game in the Unibond leagues!!
Good news - My beautiful girlfriend told me last night I have her permission to go to the Town game!
Tickets bought, travel arrangements made - can't bloody wait!
Although..... I am in that naff stand behind the goal, I hope there's no rain!

At least you'll be able to be enlightened by their football knowledge and listen to them reminice about their famous european campaigns and imaginery rivalry with Man U. They really do seem to have a very large proportion of fans that are amongst the most arrogant and deluded fans I hae ever spoke to.

You deserve to be with the Leeds fans if you have to get permission to watch Town v Leeds

The same 'stories' were coming last season. There must have been a whole 6 of them spread around our 3 sides.

Awww come on guys! I sod off every Saturday to ruin football games normally so I thought I might have to do some "us time" this weekend with no game.
I've managed to get 4 games in already this season but tomorrows the biggie so chuffed to bits - I'm not exactly local either so its not a quick "be back in a couple of hours" love!

A few more than 6 Berty, there were 18 from our branch sat together in the antich for a start, but they remained respectful and applauded your goal as you should do if you're in the wrong end, I've been in home areas many times over the years including Parkhead, Ibrox (the scariest!), Ayresome park, Maine road, Stretford end etc and never had any bother as I've always kept quiet. We realise it's not the same as going to the Keepmoat, where we had literally half their side stands and didn't attempt to hide the fact, we know you hate us and we know we have to keep schtum. Will certainly be interesting if we score though.

You're right there, it will be interesting if you score. I can see a few punches been thrown. I can't see many getting picked on if they keep quiet, even though it will probably be easy to suss them out. Some might get a few comments but that's it.

There wont be half as many as they make out, most of them are bullshitters on waccoe who cant even name the stands properly. Not many will have been willing to pay £60 for a game they're not bothered about.

I don't see the point in going in with the Town fans though if there is only gonna be a few or if say you were by urself and they were just gonna sit there and be quiet. Whats the point in goin to a game if you can't enjoy it and have to sit there being quiet?!

I'm sitting in fantastic media lower tier with 2 other town fans.......if there are any leeds fans....and they score....i'd be so peeved off im not sure i'd be able to contain my anger and bring it out on them.
As soon as they cheer they'd be chucked out anyway

As soon as they cheer they'd be chucked out anyway 2 lads I know have got Tickets for FM lower tier, They are decent lads though and will keep themselves to themselves so you probably won't even notice they are leeds, And I sit front row of FM upper, So will be keeping my Eye on them. The Scoundrels.

If they're stupid enough to cheer then they deserve a smack, the grey area comes when fans keeping themselves to themselves get 'discovered'. I have no problem with them personally, but there's going to be some numptys that will have a go. That's just the risk you take when you're in the wrong end. I remember when we were away at Hull in the promotion season, we were in the Hull end and my Dad forgot where he was and shouted "handball!". This Hull fan with two front teeth missing turned around! I think my heart stopped for a second!

Gutted. Could have fed a village in Africa with that.
Good effort though with the Yiddies.
