An amazing amount of players have arrived at Town since the summer. Butler-free-Scunthorpe Utd Parker-free-Blackpool Goodwin-free-Scunthorpe Utd Lucketti-free-Sheffield Utd Unsworth-free-Burnley Roberts-£250.000-Ipswich Town Craney-£200.000-Accrington Stanley Flynn-free-Blackpool Denton-£100.000(apparently!!!)-Wakefield Werling-free-Turkey somewhere!! Novak-£150.000-Gateshead Tehoue-free-Turkey somewhere!! Ainsworth-£300.000-Watford Pilkington-£550.000-Stockport County total:£1.55m plus loans: Dickinson-Derby Co Jones-Burnley Jutkiewicz-Everton not sure if i've missed anyone, but that is a remarkable list that nobody could have envisaged in June!! If Stanley hadn't fecked it up that list of players added to what we already had should have been enough for at least the play offs. If we dont manage it this time(which I dont think we will) then with the new additions in(2 strikers and a centre back(hoyles words)) we will be a force next season with this managemant team. Squad n paper is very good, just needs tweaking to make it good on pitch aswell!!

not surprising is it that a 2 million loss is forecast for this season.... Deano must have deep pockets ! excited about the team we hopefully will put out tomorrow but Leeds are no mugs ! ( their fans are though )...

absolutely, which makes what Stanley did even more unbearable!!Only bright side is that cos he ballsed it up so handsomely, we now have the management team in place to really move forward. Deano also seemed to come more to the fore aswell which is only a good thing compared to davy.

Are they the actual figures (or what they will rise to)??
I was under the impression that:
Lionel was £200,000 Pilks was £500,000 Novak was rising to £100,000 Denton was rising to £100,000
Not very important, it would just be nice to hear the right tale as I have heard various figures for each!

14in plus 3in on loan = 17 in total
That sounds a lot but remember that Stanley had the situation whereby he could bring players in because so many were out of contract at end of last season.
So to balance the story I would point out that at least 3 currently out on loan:- Eastwood, Broadbent, Worthington 11 released Akins, Ahmed, Beckett, Brandon, Hardy, Killock, Mirfin, Racchi, Schofield, Sinclair, Young 3 loans not retained Keogh, Page, Wallwork
Biggest turn-around in HTAFC history?

keogh and wallwork were long before ternent. page didnt speak to ternent about a move.
mirfin was sold for £150k, not released.
my original point though was that not in manya long year ave we seen so many new players come in.

Biggest turn-around in HTAFC history? Best ask Peter Jackson about that. When he were a lad we only had 8 players at the club the week before the season started.

Some good 'uns in there. Credit to Stan for some good signings. Just a shame he couldn't get the results!

Do you count the players Turnip trialled like Tony Grant, Paul Gerrard and Smith (I think that was his name, the ex-Stockport right back).

Couldn't agree more - we should be very grateful to Stanley, not only did he bring some decent players in, he realised that the club needed a total overhall, and he made such a balls up on tactics and alienating players, he got sacked in plenty of time for us to start being able to watch football again
