Superb performance by the boys, the everton lad had a blinder , robbo was buzzing first half, Jim was Jim , Butts was a leader and clarkey who i have knocked many times was fantastic. The whole team dug in and got us the points.
I know we like knocking Leeds but Delph looked one hell of a player and to be honest he does have massive potential.

Looked good, but knocked sideways balls all day long to unmarked full backs, especially in the second half when we were defending deep. He made one meaningful run forward. And doing fancy stepovers and roll abouts in the 87th minute when 1-0 down shows he hasn't coined it all.
He looked decent though, however if Ainsworth played one half and looked a class apart. Penetration, skill, speed, agression, crossing. Awesome.

Noone will ever be bought for 6 million while playing in league 1. He looks class and has lots of potential but until he proves that he can play at a higher level 6 million is a joke figure.
2.5/3 million maybe.

Delph did nothing to affect the game.
Lots of fancy tricks around the halfway line but nothing further forward. Kept well away from Goodwin. He has obviously learned a lesson from elland rd.
Naylor only hit the post because he was climbing all over the defender but the ref missed the foul (like a lot of other strange decisions which seemed to go one way).
Butler MOM. Awesome.

Was lucky not to get booked long before he finally did. We gave him far too much time and space in the 2nd half and he's got the ability to use it well. First half he looked very average. I like to see young english lads moving up to the big clubs but from what ive seen of him I don't think hes worth anything like the sums being mentioned.

When Goodwins lass washes his pants tomorrow Delph will fall out of his pocket!!!!

OI! if bent is worth £17,000,000 , then delph is got to be worth half that .................................prepairs to be shot down

Wouldn't say Delph was anything special at all, he's certainly got premiership potential (falls over too easily, moans and groans at refs and appeals for anything and everything) should have been booked in the 1st half for a nasty foul after he'd lost the ball too easily and when under pressure showed his limitations, apart from a few passes across field to the full backs he did nothing. I think he needs fattening up a bit before he gets a serious injury, he's got legs like pipecleaners and looks as though he'd struggle to make any ground into a strong wind, the lad seriously looks under nourished. Come on Bates get your money out and buy the lad a decent meal.

Lets be fair fellas the lad is class - yes we kept him well away from our goal and alot of his flicks and touches lacked the killer delivery but he is way above league 1 level. Playing in a better team with better players will improve him markedly and i cant see him being at leeds next yr unless they get promoted - he is simply too good!

I saw a nice tidy player in Delph but not in crucial areas - that may come of course but if he cannot influence at this level then noone is gonna spend the type of money being talked about.
Anyone buying him would be buying potential, can see him playing at championship level but in next two or three years cannot see him as a premiership player.
Having seen him twice this season I would take Goodwin and Collins above him any day, I prefer to rate on performances and influence that pretty turns outside his own box and paper talk (and crook Bates making up alleged bids from the Prem to try and bump the price up)

Delph would have looked a lot better with Goodwin alongside him - I'd swap him for Collins, although they'd obviously have to give us a bit of cash as well

He had fantastic feet, vision and a great first touch for a 19 year old though, but if he is rated £6million or whatever daft price tag, Smithies is worth double after his performance today!

I know we like knocking Leeds but Delph looked one hell of a player and to be honest he does have massive potential. To be honest I thought he looked pretty average. Kept doing a few fancy dan twirls in the middle of the pitch that usually ended with Goodwin taking the ball off him. That's about it. And he certainly needs to put some meat on him. You can't see legs like that surviving too long in this division.

What game were you lot at?
For all his little flicks and stuff, Delph made no mark on the game at all. He's done nothing against us in 3 hours of play.

Delph looked the only player with class in a sh@t l@@ds side. I'd take him amy day of the week. He will become an excellent top flight player when he leaves that cesspit of a club! STILL - sid them no good yesterday as reagards the result - HAHAHAHA

question for you all! if you had been a scout at that game y/day for a prem club. who would you be saying to your boss "this lad is going to be real class, we shud buy him now" delpth of smithies? i thought the 1st half delpth spent it running away from goodwin, and yeah in the 2nd half he did find some space but thats cos we was letting him have space and we was defending on edge of are box. thats why he found some space hes well over rated as he does not look class at all

Delph is just average, I was impressed with Douglas, Robinson and snodgrass much more than him.... Delph is too lightweight and fancy dan..... If hes worth a few million then Alex must be worth double !!
