I have little to add to the unmitigated joy that today brought us all, and spoken of at length, bloody marvellous though. But, given that the official attendance was 20,000-just exactly where were the 3,000 vacant seats. I have spoken to others about this , one theory is that it's a tax dodge(note-theory not accusation)-there have been other crowds when the official figure just didnt seem credible. Any thoughts?

There were half a dozen empty seats around us; mates away at weddings and funerals (honest!!) and I bet you wouldn't have noticed from across the other side of the ground. It only takes a few such occurences around the ground and the numbers build up. Why should the club fake the attendance? Cue more copnspiracy theories ...

Its amazing to think that 2500- 3000 people with tickets didn't turn up. There'll always be some people doing something, holidays/weddings/etc but so many!? Still a great crowd for a 3rd division game

There were a few seats in The Antich and the 2 covered areas in the corners. There must have been nearly 1000 short in the lower Panasonic. It doesn't take many after that to lose 3000

Still a great crowd for a 3rd division game Guy at the side of me doesn't go regularly, but borrows the normal attendees season tickets from time to time - said that one of the sponsors,a print company who have a sign in front of the Antich stand do a lot of business with Town so supported the ticket promotion by buying 3 tickets, but he never uses them. This guy said that he had been promised the use of them from now to the end of the season

I knew there'd be someone saying the attendance was too low. But there was easily 3,000 empty seats today, wasn't expecting to hit 20,000 when I saw the gaps in the North Stand, but glad we did, good effort Town fans.

It's more to the fact the OS say we have 1000 tickets left last tuesday? Selling alot this week, so a thousand decided to buy tickets and not bother turning up today?
